CCA Carborundum rub Brick Flooring Tool, 24 grit Grinding Block rubbing Stone, for Smoothing Out screeds

I bought this to sand down Indian Sandstone patio slabs that were very hard to clean and had gone really dark and gloomy and were frankly beginning to depress me. I used a patio cleaner acid first, then went at the area with this tool. The results, in my view, are much more effective than acid alone and you can really bring the stone back to its former glory. However, it is a noisy job, so I wore ear defenders and continued to file away all the black spot, dead algae and old sealer. Use a kneeling pad and worked only a couple of slabs at a time. This may be the hard way to restore natural stone, but all you have to do is think about something that annoys you and you will have the energy to complete the task. As they used to say “Anger builds cathedrals”…

Good tool well worth it

I recently used a few (22!) bags of self levelling screed to fix the flooring in an extension - what a fun day that was... One of the mix buckets went off a little quicker than the others - with the effect that when I used the spiked roller I was left with what looked like a flat hedgehog spread across a couple of meters of the otherwise flat and level floor. Some of the spikes were removed with a scraper, but the rest needed to be ground into submission with this flooring stone. Overall the stone performed well. It did wear a little, as expected, and leave quite a bit of grit behind, but it levelled out the bumps well. I just wish I had known how much like hard work it was going to be to use it before I started - could not move my arms or straighten my back for 2 days!

Done the job just.

Purchased to take some concrete snots off the top of a concrete floor screed. Didn’t want to generate lots of dust from a grinder. The stone was effective but wore down very quickly.

Does exactly what it’s suppose to do , can’t work with out it ,a must for any floor fitters

As described,but ,back in the day carburndam stayed solid for years.now it falls apart and tiny bits fall off while using.they are all the same now,so,unfortunately we have to live with it.

Simple tool to use

Product arrived for second time and the handle is still not connected to the block you can see where it was glued but the glue doesn’t hold. Ridiculous to send the product twice with the same problem!
