Just like the picture and sturdy
Would definitely recommend this crib. It is great quality for the money you spend. It is durable and easy to put together. It also seems really sturdy. It looks just like the picture and was really impressed because I’ve purchased other furniture from Amazon and it wasn’t great, but this didn’t disappoint.

Beautiful crib, quick assembly
Beautiful crib. It is a nice bright white. I was a little concerned that it wouldn't be, but it matches the white doors and trim in the nursery perfectly. It was fairly easy to assemble. I put together in a little under an hour by myself (6 months pregnant). There were a couple times a 2nd person would have made it a little easier, but overall I got it together by myself with no issues. There were no scratches on any of the pieces like some other reviewers have said. And it also doesn't look like it would scratch easily either. I scraped it a few times with the screwdriver without leaving any marks. I also didn't notice any smell to it.I will note when we first received it there was a giant hole in the box. This corresponded with a broken slat on the headboard piece. But the rest of it was packed very well. I went to the manufacturers website and filled out the part form. They sent us a new piece for free, no questions asked. We received the new piece in a little under 2 weeks. The new piece wqa extremely well wrapped to avpid damage. And we did not need to send the broken piece back.Overall this crib seems like a great buy. Especially since it includes the toddler rail. We haven't used it yet. If my opinion changes after use, I'll come back and adjust my review.

Good stuff
This crib is well made, with quality hardware and very nice fit. I've seen cribs for twice the money that are of comparable quality. I do think it is made of pine, rather than a hardwood so it will ding somewhat more easily than, say, oak. But, you're not going to be playing basketball on it, so that should be fine. Assembly is very straightforward but as mentioned by others, some bolts are provided with exactly the number needed so try not to lose anything during assembly. There is a nice pouch under the base to hide the instructions for later use. It is made in Taiwan, not mainland China, in case that matters to you. Some reviews made me concerned that it was, in fact, painted rather than stained. I can assure you that it is stained and the grain shows through nicely even with the espresso finish. The base crib comes with all that you need to convert it to a toddler bed. You'll need to find some space to store the extra pieces for a few years. I also decided to get the conversion pieces to make it into a full bed. I do recommend that you do this. Who knows where this manufacturer will be when you decide to convert it.From other reviews, it sounds like the dressers and other pieces that match the crib are (1) not manufactured by the same company (2) of inferior quality. I decided to stay away from that stuff. The good news is that the toddler bed conversion has a couple of small pieces of finished wood you can take with you furniture shopping locally if you like to match the espresso finish.

Great Furniture, Installation/Instructions are Tough at First.
I'm writing this review assuming that the people buying this are at least buying the full set, meaning a crib and another piece of furniture like the 6 drawer dresser. To start, I would highly suggest that you begin by putting together the smallest piece first, so for us we bought the crib, this 4 drawer dresser, and the 6 drawer chest, and I started on the 4 drawer dresser. The instructions dont have really any words to them so its basically following the pictures and learning from there. Some of the cons with the instructions are sometimes the pictures are misleading or incorrect and the pieces arent labeled so its hard to tell which is front and which is back, or which is left/which is right. I would also suggest you use an 18V screwdriver on everything EXCEPT the cam bolts as you dont want to put these in too far which I found out the hard way on this piece. Once you get the hang of it the crib and other pieces are easy to put together. By myself this piece took about 1.5-2hrs to assemble the first time, however the 6-drawer chest and crib took about 1 hour each after that. Just make sure to thoroughly review the instructions as you go and its really not bad at all. After completion we are thrilled with how the pieces turned out. They are very high quality and very sturdy. The nursery looks great and we couldnt be happier with how the pieces turned out. I would highly recommend this set.

Easy to assemble and sturdy
I am always nervous about purchasing large pieces of furniture online because I never know how the quality will be or if it will even arrive undamaged. I am happy to report that I was very pleased with this purchase. It arrived in one large box and was well packaged. There were only two minor scratches (see photos), and I think it would be a miracle if it arrived with zero blemishes. I am 35 weeks pregnant and assembled this crib myself. That's not to say it wouldn't be easier with two people, but it's doable with one. The instructions weren't great, but I navigated them and assembled it without any problems. The only additional thing you need is a phillips head screwdriver. The frame is sturdy, and the wood seems to be sturdy as well. I haven't used the crib yet, so I cannot make a comment on its durability, but it seems like it will hold up well. It also seems like it will be easy to drop the mattress spring to a lower level once needed. Overall, I would recommend this crib, especially for the price!
