TL;DR - despite the polar opposite reviews, these are comfy, warm boots that seem well enough made for the money paid, but that do require a bit of careful wearing. I bought these as part of my wife's Christmas, and she did quite a bit of research before buying. The reviews for this product are a mixed bag and she nearly didn't get them because of it - people either seem to love them, or are complaining about a real drop in quality since their last pair. I never normally write such long reviews, but given the dichotomy in the reviews, we wanted to try to give my wife's perspective on each of the issues brought up. Overall, we paid £32 for them, and she's pretty happy with them; nice and cozy, and comfortable too. Though with the slight drop in quality eg the sole, she wouldn't have been happy to pay much more for them, and certainly not the £85 right price quoted. Fit - as expected. She is a UK 6, ordered a 6, and they were lovely and snug. She has fairly slim calves, so we can't provide any more feedback on that particular issue, but her toes certainly weren't all cramped up like some people have mentioned: there was just the right amount of foot room in both width and length. Nice and warm on the feet and calf, and comfortable to walk in so far (after a few weeks). Quality - they seem well sewn together, zip seems sturdy enough so far, and the lining feels nice and thick. Some people mentioned a drop in the quality of the rubber of the sole, and based on older Rocket dog boots we'd have to agree it does indeed seem more rigid and less flexible, though it doesn't seem to have impacted her comfort when walking in them. Plastic insert in heel to keep boot shape - some people mentioned this bursting through the lining, or just cutting into them making the boots unwearable. We can absolutely feel this hard plastic insert, and it feels as though it might be slightly too pinched into the achillies tendon, which she can see would definitely have the potential to cut into your foot. However, the plastic insert seems well sewn into the lining, and hasn't seemed to cause any problems yet; perhaps due to the fact there is a little room for her foot to move backward and forwards, as opposed to her foot being crushed up in it. In the first few weeks if wearing, she could definitely feel that it had the potential to rub/hurt, had she not worn 2 pairs of socks, but they've now slackened off sufficiently that they are very comfy. She would also agree with another reviewer who said that the can handle getting a bit damp in lightish rain and that drying them off under the radiator seems to work well

What an amazing pair of boots, so warm and comfortable, wore them for the first time yesterday, very comfy, I need wide fitting shoes/boots but these had ample room , which is nice.. well worth the money in fact I got them in a sale and when they arrived I was surprised at the quality of the boots.. I was really impressed.

Beautiful boots. Small around the calf area and I don't have big calves. Unfortunately had to return these. Gutted as the boots are stunning.

Amazing boots, love the toe space, the are snug around calfs and so comfortable to wear, i have a bone disease in 1 foot and stress fractures in other that didnt heal correctly so my feet are painful but these boots give me comfort and support
