As a baseball umpire, was looking for additional protection from errant fouls balls and bats. This skull cap fit perfectly. I like the padding on the inside which makes it extremely comfortable to wear. It has ventilation slots which help in the hot Florida sun. It is lightweight and I can easily wear it all day and feel safe.

This catcher’s hard hat is exactly what we needed. Great fit, solid construction, and provides top-notch protection behind the plate. My son says it’s comfortable and doesn’t shift during play. The ventilation is a nice bonus, especially during hot games. Highly recommend for any serious catcher!

My son is a catcher, and after wearing the fully enclosed head gear for a few years he wanted something that showed him more vision. So after our research we purchased this cap and open face mask for him. He loves it. It’s airy in the heat, and allows great vision, even the umpires like his gear, BUT not all youth baseball leagues and tournaments allow the youth to wear those kind of catchers face masks. So know before you play. And have a backup.

In the summer, the regular baseball type hat is too hot. This cap has vents that make it much more comfortable. Great price, good quality.
