Telescopes getting smart but not the service processes
Bought the eVScope on Sale and love it - incredible device!! However, a small piece, a fastener on the tripod broke after 2 weels - requested to send me just that spare part, but Amazon asked me to return the whole device. Need to wait now for the next sale to re-purchase...

Excellent scope
Easy to set up and use. Within 45 minutes of setup I had obtained nice photos of several deep sky objects.

Not Sure what I was thinking...
Well, talk about a hobby killer, this has to be the pinnacle of it. All the hype in marketing, all the superimposed images of the planets etc, I should have caught on. Should have just got the NexStar 8 or something. It can find stars, but focusing and their way of adjusting the mirror...please. I got it setup found stars, then noticed nothing was round, had double-up images... oh, ok, out of focus... Nope... Mirror moved since it left the factory, yup....Havent got it aligned yet, 3 nights of trying to do it as they say... Sux, i would return it, but according to just this one vender, doesnt take returns on these particular telescope type and brand. Geez, they got a clue and wont allow returns. Dissapointed beyond. My Son, whom saved and waited and saved. I convinced him this was the one for us, etc... etc... What an idiot I turned out to be. Wrong, go with anything else but this one. The most expensive hobby killer(this one) isnt at all what its supposed to be. DO IT RIGHT, GO TALK TO THE GUYS AT THE STORE OR ONLINE, THEY WILL TELL YOU NOT TO WASTE YOUR MONEY ON IT... I SPENT $2900 ON THIS THING AND MY CELL PHONE TAKES BETTER PICS THRU BINOCULARS THAN THIS THING... BUMMER

It’s not a typical telescope.
There is no IP attached to this telescope so if you’re just wanting to look up into the thigh to see what’s wet. This telescope does not allow you to do that. It only works through a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth system that simply you tell it to go to a particular star or planet and it rotates in that direction but you’re really never aware of what you’re looking at. after using it with several high-tech persons. They couldn’t figure it out. My son has a masters in computer science and my grandchild is a genius. And my nephew is a mechanical engineer and they couldn’t figure it out. Don’t like it to figure out how to return it but it’s too late.

Great all around for newbies to get pro photos of the cosmos...but rather pricey
Good, easy to use but all of these ready-to-shoot & stack Astrophoto units are all quite pricey...I can only hope they'll drop as their popularity increases. I still waiting to see how the Unistellar stacks up against the soon to be released Celestron unit which is a close match

Good design idea however not impressed by the planet view
The setup was effortless. The backpack made the transport job easy and even passing through the TSA at the airport was smooth. The phone app worked very well with occasional freezing. The galaxy view is great and the pictures were clear. However, the Saturn looks like a blurred dot from a distance. Similarly I saw unimpressive images for other solar planets too. I eventually returned the telescope simply because I expected a better image quality for the planets to justify the high price.

Technology that helps!
Finally a technology that works for you vs against you. I set mine up and after the adjustments I was able to capture amazing deep space objects. Watching the stacking process culminate in an amazing image keeps me up at night. I wish they had a scheduling capability.Mine is an EQ2 and it’s an amazing pricey telescope. Having the eyepiece is a nice touch for others joining the session. The app works very well and is user friendly. I purchased a case for the scope to ease transport. I live at over 9000 feet in elevation and can be at 12000 feet in 15 minutes so I have an advantage of being at a high altitude with great bortle skies.I have two other larger scopes but I favor this one due to the fact it has onboard stacking and AI inhancement. It’s my quickest rig to get me the results I want!
