Jurassic Park II: The Lost World [Blu-ray] [1997]

I loved the hd upscaling of this classic film as I got to watch one of my all time favourite films with more in depth picture quality and a more superior sound experience.

I enjoyed this movie a lot when I was a kid. It Expanded upon the classic original and adding a few new surprises. But after watching the disappointing Jurassic World and Jurassic Park soon after which is still the best, I decided to watch this one again after a long time.When your a kid, if you were similar to me, you would have been thrilled by a sequel like this. Unfortunately I can tell now it was mainly made because Jurassic Park was such a huge hit. I'm sure Spielberg, despite being the excellent director he's proven himself to be (e.g the brilliant Indian Jones movies 1-3) had more to add from the original, but from a fresh perspective, and noticing what I was oblivious to several years back, here's what stopped the little kid from enjoying like he did at least a decade ago...........With The Lost World, you have a bunch of pretentious characters. Julianna Moore's character Sarah is a major pain in the rear, and insists on forcing anything she knows on others. At one point she tells the guys to put out a fire with dirt and not water so they won't give their position away with smoke, but tells them AFTER they have already used water. Before that she tells Ian that she has spent a long time already with predators in the world including lions, jackels and hyenas since she was 20. But if she had a brain and thought that through, she should have realized she had never spent time with dinosaurs, and definitely not Philosorapters or a T-rex or 2. Last i checked a lion is NO T-rex. So her thinking she is totally prepared for being around dinosaurs is complete stupid. Despite how much she might know about some animals who had died out a really long time ago. Ego before brains right there. But I guess I should really blame the guy who wrote the script.Then there is John Hammond's rich and obnoxious nephew who insists he owns all the Dinosaurs and has the right to take them off the Island, including the T-rex and use them as a tourist attraction, which this time is far more accessible to your average Joe. And then you have the idiots who hurt the smaller veggie eating dinosaurs because, well, just because.Jeff Goldblum makes a welcome return as Ian from part 1, and Pete Postlethwaite is very good as the hunter, though unfortunately he is also fairly hot headed and acts like he owns the place. But I guess that's what attitude you end up having when all the safaris you go on are funded or led by idiot million/billionaires.The main story is fairly simple but quite good but the only character I really cared for was Ian. His Angst teen daughter is too young for me to drool over.Hammond himself is barely in this one, & the 1st will always be the best. I definitely don't care about watching Jurassic World again. Kids will love this one, it does have several new surprises and things which will scare some kids, but if you want a movie with at least 2 solid characters with working braincells, and I'm referring to Dr Grant and Dr Sattler from the first one, then stick with the first one.

Buena imagen y buen sonido unas más de la saga

Mir gefällt die DVD sehr gut , deswegen habe ich mir die anderen Teile auch gleich mit bestellt . Die hat nicht ein Kratzer . Würde ich weiter empfehlen

Buenas reediciones, sencillas y baratas. Calidad de imagen y sonido correcta para un DVD. Las recomiendo si no conseguiste en su día las ediciones anteriores, pues las tres carátulas nuevas contienen el mismo diseño y casan perfectamente.
