Finally one that works!
This is the third HDMI splitter that I have purchased off of Amazon recently. I have been wanting one to switch between my Mac computer and my windows PC, to one monitor. The last two would not pick up my Mac (mini ) ; this one does! I have no complaints, but I will point out that mine did have a usb-c input which I assume is a power in ( the description led me to believe it did not have one ). I plugged it in to one of the USB outlets on my computer and it has been working fine. I may take it out and see if it works as well, but it will make no difference to me whether I have to use it or not.

It works... but
I have not yet been using it long and it works, but there is something to know and consider.Keep in mind this is a switch, not a splitter. While the button on the top allows you to switch from one source to another it does not remember its last setting. If you're primary device is on the non default side of the input you will need to manually switch it to output that preferred device. Once you power down and later power it back up it will need to be selected again.Unfortunately it has no way to remember which side was last used. The solution to this is to change which port your primary uses to match the units default power up desires. It would be nice if the unit would remain on where it was last selected.

ABSOLUTE GARBAGE!
This device falls into its 1-star reviews and not any of the 5-star ones. I'm just using 4K UHD @60Hz w/ HDR and all cables and devices work PERFECTLY fine 100% of the time WITHOUT this junk interjected into the mix. Once you put this adapter in place, it works (console confirms 4K UHD w/ HDR); HOWEVER, it then REPEATEDLY cuts out with a black screen and no sound only to come back with a picture for a second or two, and then sound comes back after that. This blackout behavior happens at random BUT VERY FREQUENT times, repeating OVER AND OVER AGAIN - CONSTANTLY! It's USELESS for watching shows or playing games...IOW it's ENTIRELY USELESS for its simple, basic and only intended purpose.I wanted a way to use this with a console and then switch to Apple TV on the rare moments needed (b/c SONY are cheap bums who can't be bothered to make ALL of their overpriced TVs' HDMI ports support HDR (2 of 5 and 1 of those 2 is ARC - seriously?), but this item is a massive failure. I'm just going to have to keep swapping cables or suffer lower quality watching.Doesn't ANYONE make good, reliable electroinics anymore? Clearly not. The future is here, and it's full-on dystopian.

Works Great (With Caveats)!
My use-case for this switcher is the following:- Two PCs with HDMI 2.1 output (AMD-based) connected to 'input'- One UST projector with a low-latency input connected to the 'output'- The supplied USB-A -> USB-C power cable plugged into a standard USB wall-wartHere's what I've found:Cons:- The "optional" power is disingenuous: if you're using this splitter/switcher then you likely need the features that require the power to be supplied (primarily EDID persistence)- No 'auto-sensing' for source inputs (manual switch press is required)Pros:- Switching between two PCs feeding 1080P/120 + HDR is seamless: zero issues- Having an 'active' HDMI cable on the output produces no issues (and is even referenced in the manual)- Speaking of the manual, it has all the technical info you could want (albeit in a form of broken English)- Very nice build quality- Price: these things seem to get cheaper and cheaperI would certainly buy another one of these should the need arise. Note that I have *not* verified 2160P120/HDR/VRR, but it does claim to support that.

Product is amazing But
I enjoyed my purchase with hdmi spliter but unfortunately it started giving problems after about 3 months later. I am a gamer and i use it to split my series x between my monitor and 4k tv but my heavy use must have had an effect.
