NICE QUALITY ADIDAS SOCKS... BUT For Some Might Be Snug At the Top
I purchased these ADIDAS socks for my special needs son. My son insists on wearing his crew socks "high and tight", which means pulled up high over his calves. This usually results in the grey colored heel section of his usual brand socks being visible 2-3" above the heel of his shoes -- quite an ODD look in the summer when shorts are in season. As for these ADIDAS brand socks, we were attracted by the defined arch support, fabric content, and general design of the foot of these socks. We were a bit concerned with regard to the light grey heel section in these, however we made a concerted effort to purchase the LARGE rather than XL size to avoid the possibility of the grey heel migrating above the back of his shoe. Upon delivery, the socks appeared to be of good quality; a nice medium weight thickness; bright white color; no loose threads or irregularities. They have been laundered several times (in mineral laden well water) and thus far the color and fabric have held up very well. It turns out that our decision to purchase size LARGE (rather than XL) was a good one in that they are not too long for his foot (size 9.5). The arch support location was as it should be, and the grey heel portion of the sock did indeed stay hidden below the back of his shoes (as we had hoped) -- HOWEVER we did observe something that a few other AMAZON reviewers made reference to, and THAT had to do with the tightness of the top portion that goes over the calf. As others reported, they do indeed seem a bit TIGHT - and my son has relatively thin legs (5'7"; weight 128lbs). Initially, my son denied that the socks were too tight, but I have noticed on several occasions that his socks are resting below his calf line (rather than pulled up to his knees). I again asked about the tightness of the socks, and he has admitted that they "might be a little snug" at times. So keep this in mind if your guys are a bit on the heftier size... as these might not be right for you.

Perfect to wear when you need a high top sock.
Great socks. I seldom need high tops, but when I do, I need them to fit and not feel like they are falling down. These socks addressed my needs and were also very comfortable. I hate socks, and only wear them when necessary, but I would repurchase these in a heartbeat.
