Exectactly wht i expected!
Nice , though somewhat "digital"shimmer. When shimmer turned down, a kind of "hall-"or "grotto-"like reverb remains, with shimmer half way up it is like this shimmer pedal was designed to be used with my Danelectro baritone ! very nice!

It's good but...
There's actually a lot to like about this pedal: it's incredibly sturdy, looks amazing, seems high quality and doesn't seem to distort your signal (you can check out some reviews on Amazon US for more detail - one of them says it does slightly). I think that the standard reverb setting you can add in by using the mix knob is actually pretty nice and seems to me something like a hall/church sound. With shimmer turned right down you have a very small echoey addition to the reverb that you can change the overall decay length on. For a pedal that does that well and has two simple controls, it's really good. The shimmer itself isn't bad although past about the half way mark I was less keen as it takes on more of digital sound feels less natural than a more expensive shimmer (like the HoF 2 for example). You can dial that in and out and go full wet signal which is fun to play with and does sound pretty good. What you really get here is a sort of octave reverb that's fun and I liked it, but it's not exactly a completely smooth/gentle, ethereal sound. More like a choir coming in with your dry signal. If that's what you're after and you don't want to shape the tone of the shimmer then this is brilliant. It has a nice, slightly punchy, maybe a touch brassy sound - I just prefer the sound of the TC Fluorescence for the same kind of price point (but those are pretty difficult to get hold of at the moment). This one is good. It's just not quite the sound for me.
