Try it. Great for worktops and thicker materials.
Wish I had bought one of these years ago. Ive always been put off using a jigsaw cutting sink inserts in 38mm worktops. Mainly because the blades tend to bend and not cut vertical. Until now. This blade allowed me to cut an already installed worktop for the purposes of a sink upgrade installation. I didnt have to cut upside or use tape to avoid chipping. It cut vertical as in perpendicular ti the base plate and you can easily see the front edge of the blade because it protrudes the jigsaw base plate. Therefore you could cut right upto the wall unlike the traditional blades because the base plate and the saw front face would get it the way and touch the wall first. I'll definitely buy more blades when the time comes to replace it.

Doesn't fit bosch GST-12V
Seems like a good blade, bought it for my Bosch 12V jigsaw as an experiment but discovered the metal guard rod in front of the blade clashes with it so it won't fit. You could easily remove that guard (cut it off or bend it out of the way) and it would fit but I chose not because of how I use the saw - that guard could save me a finger at some point. If you did choose to remove that guard, this blade still doesn't reach the front of the saw, it ends up about 10mm or so short, so possibly defeats the purpose of it anyway - I just use a multitool instead of a blade like this.

I used this for cutting a worktop as I wanted a very true cut. The structure of this blade seems to make it resistant to the bending that can happen with normal blades. I know this isn't its primary purpose but that's when I reach for it.

Very useful blade to have
Very useful blade to have. I am a professional woodworker and It has already paid for itself in terms of time saved when you encounter edges that the jigsaw cannot reach. Thanks to whoever invented it and amazon for selling it....john j.

Great blade, sharp but breaks too easy
Cuts well, but apply just a bit too much pressure, say to cut a knot, and it will snap off. Had 3 now, all broke at same point when reached a knot in ply.
