Snug fit
The bottom plastic cap and spring fit very snug into the filter and the filter fit very snug into the top of the housing. This was an easy install without any issues.

You must use the spring and cup with this filter
This is the same length as the OEM Motorcraft...that means you must use the cup and spring assembly that the Motorcraft filter uses. MAKE sure you use or the filter will not filter fluid properly. Often repair shops will use a NAPA or WIX filter instead of OEM. They are good filters but those filters are longer than OEM and you don't use the cup and spring. It's $40 from Ford if the shop didn't give it back to you! You might as well stay with the NAPA or WIX if you don't have the assembly.

Good filter
Takes a little pulling to break it loose. Cleaned up the area and put the new one in. Be careful putting the cap back on.

Total fake BS. NOT LIKE PICTURE IN AD. Wrong size o-ring. Filter too small in diameter, interior holes different size than Ford.

I change this auxiliary transmission filter whenever I change engine oil and filter. Transmissions are thousands of dollars and this sure extends their life keeping the fluid Really clean

OVERPRICED
But good luck obtaining it cheaper in a timely fashion. All these filters are coming from the same offshore factories in what's known as "white box" packaging --- either in an unlabeled poly bag or actual unlabeled white box over which reseller places their own box or stickers. Worth about 1/3 what we paid for it.
