BATHROOM / TOILET INDICATOR DOOR BOLT VACANT / ENGAGED LOCK - POLISHED CHROME (B2947)

The item seems well made and works a treat. Highly polished finish looks classy. You must drill a hole large enough for the raised part on the back of the lock and the Engaged-Vacant parts to fit into as they protrude from the back. I drilled the hole right through the door then fixed the lock part on dead square. I cut and trimmed the small connecting bar, then slipped over Vacant-Engaged on the outside of the door, Made sure it was perfectly square and screwed it to the door face. Simple and easy. Looks really nice in an oldish 1905 house with a mahogany door.

OK, it's cheap....what did I expect? Well I've bought quite a few DIY bits and bobs on-line over the years at very good prices. I'm not normally disappointed, most stuff is of at least serviceable quality if you go by the reviews before pressing the 'buy' button. Not this, absolute rubbish, I don't expect it to last more than a few months. Don't waste your money. You'll end up buying another and binning this one.

The item sent to me was not the item shown in the pictures and was not suitable for an outward opening door as the described item is. The quality of the item sent was fine but unsuitable. I was, however, fully compensated without any questions.

Just the job , nice finish , works well a month on . Far superior to chain outlet equivalent it replaced purchased recently at a similar price .
