Denman DCB1 Hairbrush Cleaning Brush for Effective Hairbrush Cleaning

I was initially skeptical about buying a tool designed solely for cleaning hairbrushes, but my collection of brushes had accumulated hair and product buildup over time, making them unhygienic and less effective. Using the pointed end of this tool to remove excess hair, followed by scrubbing under warm water with dish soap, worked wonders. My brushes now look almost new, even after years of neglect. Pros: • Easily removes built-up hair and product residue. • Gentle on brushes; doesn’t damage bristles. • Simple to use with water and soap for thorough cleaning. • Compact and easy to store. • Makes old brushes look and feel nearly new. Cons: • A tool for a very specific purpose—may not appeal to minimalists. • Could take some time if brushes are heavily neglected.

This is a good brush for cleaning a clogged hairbrush and the different sides meant it was easy to get out some tricky hairs. The only problem is you then have two brushes worth of hair to dispose of.

This hairbrush cleaner is amazing the best i have ever bought.The pointed tip allows you to loosen any hair that has gathered at the base of the bristles.Then the brush part can clean all the gunk that accumulates at the base of hair brushes,especially after using any hair products mousse and hairspray etc.They say the bristles at the end are good for cleaning combs but i find them too still and prefer to use a nail brush.The one thing i found it really good for it getting hair out of a rug.I can hear you all laughing but believe me it is true,my hair comes out a lot because of all the medication i am on.Having a rug that has black and dark purple in it my blonde hair really shows up on it so it starts to look a mess and dirty after a bit.I was just sat on the chair one day and saw all the hair on the rug but the vacuum just wasn't strong enough to pick it up.It was really annoying me and i was wondering how i could sort it them i remembered this brush cleaner with its stiff bristles.I just sat here sat here using the end and used it like you would any brush pulling the hair towards me and i was amazed it works.So not only is it a great hairbrush cleaner but it will also pull up the hair from a rug fantastic.

A brush for my hairbrush - this item has been amazing at helping me clean out my hairbrush. I don't know where the lint/gunk comes from and the pain of cleaning it off a brush and digging out hairs is the worst. I was considering just throwing my hairbrush away because it was taking so long and it was so annoying to clean it. This is the best! I use it every day or every other day to keep my hairbrush from having hair stuck in it or time to accumulate the lint/gunk stuff it does. It is also pretty small so easy to throw in a drawer or pack with you. Just a really useful product.

Writing the review on the day of receiving the product, the brush cleans the comb and the hair brush in under a minute. U can use it with or without water.

I had this exact same brush cleaning tool for years, and I misplaced it when I moved and couldn’t find it anywhere. So I ordered another one because it works so well for when my hair brushes need to be deep cleaned. I use it to scrub them with shampoo. This cleaning tool has hard nylon bristles that get right through the brush bristles to clean them out thoroughly and scrub the base of the brush itself, which is where a lot of oils and product gets collected and built up. The tool is able to easily scrub it all away. I remove the shed hair first, which I do every week anyway. Then every other week I wash the hair brush out using clarifying shampoo or dish washing liquid, since both are able to cut through build up. Then I lay them on a towel to air dry overnight with the bristles facing down to drain away any excess water (that’s important because trapped water in the base of a brush will eventually weaken the bristle attachment and they’ll start falling out). It’s much more effective washing brushes with the cleaning tool than it is with just my fingers. My brushes are nice and fresh afterwards, thoroughly clean. I definitely recommend this product, not only for brushes that have been used before, but for brand new ones too. It’s important to always wash new bushes (and combs) before using them. I bought the cleaning tool with my own money, with no promotional offers of any kind. Twice. It was worth it.
