Q: Where I can buy extra blades?

You can get them thru Allied Electronics and many other places on the internet. Just do a search for CST-1900 replacement blades.;

Q: Would this tool be suitable for removing the semiconductive layer from medium and high voltage cables?

Yes. However the model I tried (3/4" to 1 5/8") on 400MCM cabling I found to be a bit lacking in both accurate circumferential cuts as well as durability of the blade. I have decided to go back to the tried and true banana peeler.

Q: Does this work on 4-12 AWG stranded?

No. The smallest wire diameter is 3/16 OD. It works well for the jacket of a multi-wire such as a 16/4 wire.

Q: Which version of the tool works on 1.0 guage battery cable ?

Hi, The CST-900, CST-1900, or CST-1140 all work on this type of cable. The only one that will not work is the CST-4000, which is for larger diameter cables. - Jonard Tools
