Kinect Sensor for XBox 360 [video game]

I didn't use this for a 360. I actually used it for my PC. Here's a few things you need to know if you want to do this...You have to have a good PC. (It doesn't have to be top of the line... But a great graphics card and a good PC are super helpful.)Next... You have to buy the special cord. Even if you get a cord with it. The USB's on a regular computer are too weak to power it so you NEED an external power source. You can get them from amazon just look for Xbox Kinect power adapter.Okay, getting started... Plug it in to the power supply. Plug it in to the computer... Wait a couple minutes.Usually Windows will find it and the driver for you and you're done. If not you just need to look for the driver which is easy to do. Just look for Kinect for Windows or Xbox 360 PC driver. You'll find it easily.Now, that it's installed the magic can happen!!By itself it makes a fantastic webcam. But coupled with other programs like Iclone it makes the start of a fantastic mocap studio. Great for whatever you need it for. I also own a Playstation Eye, but it's nothing rival to this. The PS Eye doesn't have a motor so you can move the camera without touching it. Also the Xbox 360 Kinect is much better at focusing quickly than the PS Eye. Now, I like them both and the PS Eye makes a fine webcam and because I have a clip to clip it to my monitor it makes it easy and out of the way. But the kinect 360 gives a much better looking picture. It's also much solider feeling than PS Eye. It might just be the weight because neither one feels flimsy it is just the connect feels much better to pick up... Like it's not delicate. (Although, don't pick it up by the bar... It's just not a good idea. Pick it up by the base.)So, if you're looking for a cheap mocap solution, a fast camera for fun, or just want to use your 360 kinect again... These instructions should work for you as well. I know I'm going to have a lot of fun with it!

Pretty handy little device for the Xbox!! Didn't realize it was motorized and how accurate it was. Great buy and an incredible price! I remember these things being pretty expensive and was very happy with my experience!

I am blessed with three men in my house: a relatively sedentary husband , a fairly active 12-year-old, and a 7- year-old who avoids physical activity as a rule. My husband splurged on a Kinect sensor and a copy of the game Wipeout which mirrors the popular obstacle course game on television. It has been a godsend! It is terrific to hear them working through this game individually or together while burning calories at the same time. What a wonderful way to get video game enthusiastsmore actively involved in the game!

I shopped around, and I was hesitant after reading some poor reviews, but this product, apparently from this seller is amazing!! The only downfall is that I thought I'd have it a few days earlier, but the quality was well with the wait!!

Just got it trying to make all kinds of setup but the camera sensor won't work I already did all the initial setup, calibration but the final steps won't recognize my body and the camera is connected, all wired up and I have my Xbox account since 2007 so it's not the account, now trying to setup the game and only shows a black square and doesn't do anything.

Arrived in great condition and just as promised! To use on a Windows PC you have to buy an adapter but once I did and installed the drivers properly using online guides it works like a dream! I am able to achieve positional tracking on Steam VR using driver4vr with either Riftcat or Trynus VR, or Immotion Room with either as well.
