Comfy, clean, and feels like a fresh headset
These A50 earphone replacements are a game-changer. They’re much more comfortable than the originals, making long gaming sessions way easier on the ears. Cleaning them is a breeze, and they feel soft yet durable, giving my headset a fresh, almost-new vibe. Installation was simple, and they fit perfectly without any weird gaps or looseness. If you spend hours gaming or just want a more comfortable experience, these replacements make a noticeable difference. 💡 Tip: Swap them out before your originals get too worn. They make your headset feel brand new. Verdict: Comfortable, easy to maintain, and a simple upgrade that makes a big difference.

Great Upgrade from A50 provided earcups
Got this for the new Astro A50 Gen 5 headset. Reviews for the headset said aftermarket earcups were better as they are typically deeper (to prevent your ears from hitting the drivers) and for sound isolation and cooling. After a couple of long gaming sessions, I definitely agree these earcups are much better than the OEM style. Better sound isolation to focus on gaming, the fit is great and my ears fit nicely inside without hitting the drivers, making it comfortable over time. It feels like much higher quality than the OEM style as well. I think this is a great value.

These make such a difference
I purchased these after watching a YouTuber who uses them and wanted to give them a try since the reason I stopped using my Astros was because my ears were getting so hot and it became uncomfortable. These are a complete game changer. I swapped both my Astro's and my SteelSeries headsets to these they make the headsets so much more comfortable and the cooling gel is so much better than the hot ear cups most headsets come with. I have recommended these to all my friends and they have also bought them to make their headsets much more comfortable. These are worth the money and they will last a long time the quality on these is phenomenal and they are super thick ear cups. These even make the noise isolation better than th originals. I highly recommend these to everyone in the gaming community and even for high quality headphones from Sony and Apple.

Heavy duty
I’ll start by saying I literally just got my A50’s gen 4 for Xbox not even a week ago. Had 2 pairs of A40’s since the Xbox one, so I’m a big fan of them, came from turtle beach before. The factory ear cups are great, they don’t get hot necessarily, just kinda stay warm, but you never sweat wearing them. I like the fact that these have the leather outer and inner, less chance of it the fibers getting frayed over time like the stock. I bought them with the intent to try out the cooling factor of course but mainly to keep my stock ones in mint condition as a back up. First thing I noticed is they are definitely heavier than the others, i personally enjoy that, makes for a tighter fit, and the best part I’d say is it makes it almost twice as noise canceling for outside sounds. Now the sound is the main part of course, it does change it definitely. I’ve seen people say they don’t like it because it sounds muffled, the thing is, it creates a much better seal between the cup and your head, therefore; less sound dispersion, which causes a tremendous increase of bass. I’ve not been too pleased with the sound depth of the A50’s after coming from the A40’s with optical, but through a lot of tweaking the EQ on not only the Astro command center, but the Dolby access app as well, since it comes with Dolby Atmos, you can get is sounding very good for a wireless headset. Again I’m a fan of the bass so it sounds great to me, if it sounds muffled you may need to turn your bass down. I still use the optical cable with my base although I didn’t see a world of difference when I plugged it in like I did for the A40 mixamp. For anyone willing to go down this path, GadgetryTech has a perfect walkthrough of the EQ profiles for this specific earcup on YouTube, even used his code. The cooling factor is noticeable but not after too long I’d say, just take em off for a bit to charge and they will be cool again however. Overall, they do exactly what I bought them for so I can put 5 stars happily, we’ll see after the first week or so of use.

Necessary upgrade for your headset
Awesome little upgrade to your A50's. Cushier and comfier than the foam earpads that come standard on the headset. Shockingly cool, and will help make a better seal as well. 5/5. The throwback 90's mouthwash cup design is also super sick

Hot ear muffs with built in bass.
I liked the design on the ear pads, made my headset look pretty nice. BUT the gel cooling pads feel semi cold for about a minute then warms up and builds humidity in the ear muffs. Eventually these began to hurt my ears during just 1 gaming session and I had to remove them. I had these on my Astro A50s. Also without touching any equalizer settings, these gave my headsets an insane amount of bass. I even turned the bass down in my equalizer settings and it still was way too much. I also loaded custom sound profiles hoping it would reduce the bass to a somewhat tolerable level, but nothing ever worked. I took these off my headsets and I’m using the original ear pads that came with my A50s. In my opinion, the original A50 pads sounds better and feel better. But if you don’t my most musty ears and bass that rattles your ear wax loose, by so means, try them.

Product Review: Wicked Cushions Headphone Replacements for Astro a50X Headphones
Overview I recently purchased a brand new headset, the Astro a50X, which was quite expensive. I was initially torn between this model and the SteelSeries Nova Pro Wireless, but the Astro a50X won me over due to its great mic, which helps eliminate clutter on my desk. However, I quickly discovered that the stock headphone covers were uncomfortable to the point where I almost considered returning the headset. The Problem The stock headphone covers on the Astro a50X were not up to par. They caused significant discomfort, which was disappointing given the high price of the headset. This discomfort almost led me to return the headset, despite its other excellent features. The Solution Fortunately, I remembered that nearly every reviewer mentioned Wicked Cushions as a great alternative. I decided to give them a try and ordered a set from Amazon a few days ago. The results were nothing short of impressive. Performance and Comfort The Wicked Cushions headphone replacements have made a world of difference. The improvement in both sound quality and comfort is like night and day. These cushions should honestly come standard with every Astro a50X purchase. The enhanced comfort has made long listening sessions much more enjoyable, and the sound quality has noticeably improved. Suggestions for Improvement While I am thoroughly impressed with the current product, I believe there is room for expansion. It would be fantastic to see more color options, especially in the SteelSeries color variants, to offer even more customization for users. Conclusion In summary, the Wicked Cushions headphone replacements are a must-have for Astro a50X owners. They offer a significant upgrade in comfort and sound quality for a very reasonable investment. If you own an Astro a50X or are considering purchasing one, I highly recommend getting a pair of Wicked Cushions to enhance your experience.

Excellent!
I really like these a lot. Personally I like the fabric on these a lot better than the stock ear cups. The fabric covering that touches your head is smooth and soft like a jersey material as opposed to the kinda itchy material used on the stock ones. While these are very cool when you first put them on, I’m not really sure how much cooler they are after a few hours of gaming. Honestly I feel like the other ones maintain a lower temperature because of their breathability being filled with what I assume is an open cell foam instead of a gel like these. I didn’t buy these for their cooling effect though, I bought them because I wanted a different material other than the fuzzy somewhat itchy material they came with, and hopefully some added sound quality. These met both those needs. Keep in mind that since these are a different material, you may want to play with the EQ adjustments until you find the sound that suits you. Their website has a video that has some settings you can either download or just take a screenshot of and adjust your settings from the Astro app or the Dolby atmos app. Personally I think the sound quality improved after making a few adjustments. Better bass for sure. This headset has excellent sound to begin with though and with these ear cups it just takes them right over the peak of excellence. I really wish they made the replacement headband cushion to match with a fix to the notorious a50 gen 4 headband pad popping out that most of y’all are plagued with incuding myself. Overall the design is great and I wouldn’t mind picking up a few more pairs to swap them out every once in a while for a different look. The only downside was the shipping time. They took quite awhile to arrive but having ordered them right after Christmas that’s more or less to be expected. If you’re looking for a nice set of pads for your a50 then look no further because these are probably the nicest ones available. You won’t regret your purchase.
