Vinland Saga Deluxe 1: Normanni (VINLAND SAGA DLX HC)

I won’t go too much into the art and story itself, as it has been reviewed much already - all fantastic. This edition which has I believe 5 volumes within, is amazing - full faux leather hardcover with actual old norse runes decorating it, the highest quality thick paper which gives the most detail you’ll see for this story, and a flexible spine meaning little to no loss near the centre in the early pages. This means you can appreciate some of the 2 page epic action sequences. Super high quality product, recommend.

Great read super fast delivery

I figured that with the deluxe editions releasing I should finally give Vinland saga a read and I was not disappointed. The book itself is very good quality and is what we’ve come to expect from a deluxe edition, being very similar to the dark horse deluxe editions like Berserk and Helsing in both quality and size. The story is very good, I read the whole book in 1 sitting and had me pre-ordering the second book as before I even finished reading this one. I won’t give anything away other than it being a historical revenge story based around vikings. I really can’t emphasise how much I recommend buying this. 5/5 :)

THIS STORY HAS CHANGED MY LIFE! This 3 in 1 hardcover just oozes quality. The cover is soft to the touch and the embossing is amazing. It also has a silk ribbon that acts as a bookmark which is an amazing touch. The book is huge. It covers the first 3 volumes of Vinland saga so I look forward to purchasing the rest! Greatest purchase I have ever made!!!!

A premium, long-lasting edition that looks great on the shelf and elevates the reading experience. Worth it for collectors and fans

The first thing that strikes me about Vinland is that it's a Japanese take on Viking myth, culture, and story telling, so it's an interesting perspective into two cultures for the price of one. But more importantly, it's great story telling, with compelling and interesting characters, and very good art. It has the fast pacing of manga yet retains the epic grandeur and spectacle of Norse mythology. And along the way, there's interesting explorations of psychological and philosophical ideas (about family, honor, responsibility, ethics, etc.) without getting bogged down or preachy. And it's really well researched as historical fiction, with detailed care. The volume itself is really well put together, with a handsome cover. Looking forward to reading more!
