Seems safe. Used it for motorbike key and bike chain key, when out anywhere
It's okay but as I have motorbike key on it I do tend to check that the Clio hadn't come away from the lanyard.It's stronger than I thought as I currently have a heavy, expensive wind chime hanging off it (no .....not around my neck, the windchime is indoors until spring)!
