THE BEST
Reason for buying: I decided to buy this product because not only was it the number #1 selling protein powder on Amazon but I had heard a lot of good things about the product. I wanted to see for myself if it lived up to all the hype. Ingredients and Nutritional Profile: Refer to product image and description. Taste: When I first tried the product by adding 1 scoop (30.4g) of powder into 350ml of water, I found that it did not taste as nice as I expected. It tasted slightly artificial and watery. However I found that I got to like the taste a lot more as time went by and I did not get sick of it by the end like I did with many other protein powders. If you want to enhance the taste of this product and make it less watery I recommend having it with semi skimmed milk or full fat milk. Mixing: I found that the product mixes really well in water, milk, porridge and smoothies. I have not come across a product that mixes any better. Results: After taking the product for 2 months, 3 times a day, whilst weight training 4 times a week and doing cardio 3 times a week I found that my strength and muscle growth had improvement, I had more energy and I was getting more toned. It was mostly evident around my arms and chest where my T-Shirt got tighter. I could lift 5-10% more and I felt a lot stronger even when I wasn't in the gym. It is now the only Whey Protein powder that I am willing to use. When to take: I had 1 scoop for breakfast, Pre training and post training mixed with Dextrose. Having Dextrose at the same time drives the amino acids into the muscles much quicker. If I don't fancy a shake first thing in the morning then I will mix 1 scoop with my porridge or smoothie. Although all the different flavours taste the same in terms of standard, the chocolate / mint based flavours go better on their own, with dextrose or mixed in porridge whilst the fruity flavours go better either on their own, with Dextrose or with smoothies. All the flavours taste reasonably nice but they will never win any awards for best tasting protein shakes. Other Whey Products: Although there are more Whey protein powders out there that taste better, I do not believe that any can match this for results vs price and it's easy to see why the product is so popular with Body Builders and Athletes. The product can also be used by anyone that does not do exercise (male or female) but want to increase their protein intake. Negatives: The only negative that I could identify was that the product contains Sucralose which is not the healthiest sweetener around, however you will find that most protein powders have this type of sweetener in them. Verdict: Highly Recommended 'Feedback - If you found any aspects of this review useful and you would like to leave feedback - please follow the link below - thanks'.

Great protein, great taste!
The Chocolate Mint flavour mixed with milk tastes fantastic! I've been using ON Gold Standard Whey for almost 2 years now. I find that one of the most important criteria for picking a protein powder is the taste; if it tastes bad I'm eventually going to give up drinking it. I tried a tub of Double Rich Chocolate a few weeks ago and was a bit disappointed as it had an artificial sweetener after taste but I'm happily back to Chocolate Mint. With regards to nutritional values, fat and carbs are low (not as low as isolate powders but this is much better value for money than most isolates) so this holds up well when you are cutting. For when you're bulking try mixing a scoop with a dessert spoon of peanut butter, a teaspoon of honey and a little milk (not too much milk or it will turn into gloop!). Mmm chocolatey peanut butter. You can also add some rolled oats and refrigerate to make into bars for taking to the gym. One thing I'd love Optimum Nutrition to offer for sale on Amazon would be a variety pack box of sachets to give an opportunity to try out all their flavours ... just in case there are any gems I'm missing out on!

Delicious and Effective
Been using this stuff for years. I've always made great progress whilst using Optimum Nutrition products and I highly recommend it. Most protein brands are the same; gritty, sherbert-like consistency that doesn't mix well, and a taste that could curl your toes in displeasure. Gold Standard really negates both of these stereotypes. I've never had to use a blender with it and it always tastes like I'm having a cheat day milkshake or treat. If you're looking for a quality protein supplement and you can afford it, I'll always recommend Gold Standard. I've never had a problem with their product in all the years I've been training and it cannot be matched on taste.

Not as good as chocolate mint
Great protien as usual fast delivery too, not a five star because i was dissapointed after reading so many great reviews about the extreme milk chocolate flavour being the best i prefer the chocolate mint flavour, but thats just personal preference i guess.

Great flavour
I purchased the chocolate mint flavour and it tastes great, the or the strawberry flavour I would say are the best. Add water and a few ice cubes, throw in a blender and it's like a milkshake, perfect for a quick fix post workout to aid recovery and help increase performance the next day. Doesn't leave you feeling bloated either. The 72 serving size is perfect for me and lasts around 1 month, so with the subscribe and save especially is great value.

Bargain price for genuine ON protein
Read many reviews stating the ON protein powders are fake or have arrived with broken seals etc but both mine came sealed and are the real deal.. the choc mint flavour is very nice when mixed with milk and doesn’t clump up so you can tell it’s genuine and quality.. was initially worried with all the reviews etc but I’m now glad I purchased 2 tubs at a very good price and will definitely order more if price is the same discounted rate!
