Disappointing. Time for Williams to stop writing for a while
David Walliams has been a firm favourite with my boys since his first books came out. He occasionally uses incorrect vocabulary and grammar which is irritating, but he has told interesting, amusing stories which often have something to think about. This book, however, is not funny, not different from many other short stories he has written recently, doesn't have a plot and ends abruptly and unsatisfactorily. In fact my son said "oh, is that it?" at the end. There is no comparison with "Mr Stink", "Ratburger" and others from his earlier writing career. They had real storylines and were interesting because they looked at people from a different point of view. The only thing to recommend this book is that the "hero" is a child who needs a wheelchair to get about, which is not very usual.
