Patent Pending Review: Very useful guidelines for sharpening - I use a variety of leatherworking knives that need different sharpening angles, so it's hard to get the muscle memory right. I use these at the start of the whetstone so that when i start a stroke of the knife and return back to the origin, i can ensure my angle is precise. It works well Review: value for money - I liked the ease of use honed my kitchen knives to a very precise angle

Great Accessory...
Great Accessory and a great idea... But well over-priced for what they are hence only 4 stars. Just 11 x small moulded plastic guides with some rubber bands covering pretty much every angle you will need for your kitchen knives. They do the job perfectly and using these with my (2000/5000) whetstone I have put factory sharp edges on my knives. These really do take the guessing out of the correct angle to use. You will need to check what the factory supplied angles are for your knives which is a fairly easy task on the web, although I can tell you that generally angles are 14/15˚ per side for European knives & 10/11˚ each side for Japanese/Asian blades. TBH... If you have the woodworking tools, a protractor and a free afternoon then you could probably make the ones you need using this idea.

Not for me.
Not a fan. They're too small in width compared to the width of the whetstone and as they sit on the whetstone, it takes up some of the sharpening surface. Would have liked bigger angles such as 25 or even 30 instead of the some of the angles provided.

Godsend
For anyone who has good kitchen knives ground to angles different than the 'normal' 20°, these are very handy. They are a bit fiddly to use but glueing them to a suitable bit of wood helps with the grinding and honing.

Solved my useless skill
I have never, ever been able to sharpen a knife, not properly anyway. I have a Fallkniven TK3 and it had lost its edge. It is far to nice and expensive a knife not to be used so I purchased these guides. It took a few minutes as the blade was very blunt but now.......sharp enough to cut paper. Very pleased that the guides have solved my useless sharpening skills.

Pricey, but very useful
These angled wedges have really improved my consistency when sharpening my Japanese knives on my whetstone. They are moderately user-friendly, you will need to experiment with them a bit but when you get it right the results speak for themselves. Recommended for anyone keen on keeping their cooking knives sharper than a standard drag-through can achieve.
