Super strong always found it hard to get stuff my dog couldn’t destroy in a few minutes.

Top toy - Maybe even indestructable.
Still early days yet, but my Staffy has been doing her best to try and destroy this. All in vain, thus far (about 6 weeks). It's a good size to play tug with, and works well as a retrieval toy, and it's seriously tough stuff. I've used Kong products before with Staffy's, and they don't tend to stand the test of time (and teeth), but this little number has yet to even show any marks, never mind splits or damage. It's fast become her go-to toy. Highly recommended. Wish they were available in other colours too, then I could take it out and throw it for her on walks. It's too hard to see in undergrowth, being black. Not a gripe though, as that's not what the toy was designed for.

Still going strong after two and a half years
Our young Lab chewed her way through many toys in her early years, so we had to work out what material was going to stand up to her need to destroy, The black rubber that these Kong toys are made of is exactly what we required, though from the other reviews of this product not completely chewproof this tire toy has lasted two and half years now and still receives regular use. It is more expensive than most equivalent toys but its durability means it feels good value for money when compared with cheaper toys that last nowhere near as long. This toy can be thrown, rolled, chewed and filled with food for the entertainment of your dog.

Super durable and fun!
Doggos loveee these! Keeps them occupied, fun way to feed them. And they destroy everryytthhiinnngggg but these seem to be pretty strong! The wheel isn't impossible they can't get the food out of but isn't easy. My pups are staffy mixes

not a tough chew toy, my dog ripped into it in under15 minutes
This is not make of the same stuff as the other black kong chews. It is as hard wearing a licorice..

It's lasted (!!!)
I've spent a ridiculous amount of money on dog toys, the vast majority of which are chewed through immediately by my pup and have to go in the bin usually in the same day. Having spent hours researching toys that would last, I tried this one. Yes, it's small (if I hadn't read previous reviews I think I too would have been a bit disappointed by how small it is). But it's not too small for my medium sized dog. A few weeks in and there's not so much as a dent in the rubber after being chewed each day. My dog's happy to play with it with or without treats in, and it seems to be withstanding so far. Kong is the only brand toys that have survived his chewing so far (he has two of the classic style ones, and a bone shaped one also which have all made it 6 months so far).

This dog toy is probably one of the best dog toys that I have ever purchased! I have a 2-year-old 80 lb Mastiff mix who is super destructive and generally breaks most of his toys within a few days. He is a very powerful chewer and even the "durable" toys are no match for him. But this toy is fantastic! We've had it for about 3 months now and he plays with it daily and there is zero wear & tear showing on the toy. I was worried when it first arrived because it's WAY smaller than the picture makes it appear (the description says Medium/Large but it's pretty small) and I was worried that he would chew through it or even choke on it due to the size but somehow it's perfect. He can chew for hours on it and not even leave teeth marks on it. You can throw/roll it too and it bounces all over the place and makes for a fun game of fetch. I would not hesitate to purchase this again and recommend it to anyone who asked.

My 10 month old dobby is very destructive when left alone at home. Kong tire keeps him occupied. Though price is on the higher side, consider it a one time buy instead of going through many toys n spending more.

I have several dogs, and they are what would be considered as "Heavy Chewers." They are truly awesome pets, and I consider them like my children. I started looking for toys that I wouldn't worry about if I didn't have line of sight for every minute. All dog toys, regardless of their size, type, weight, or if they're steel versus plastic material have a warning on the bottom of very label/package that states that the animal should never be left alone with the toy. With that said, I do not leave the toys unattended, even though this toy has paid it's weight in how well it has stood up to the constant chewing my dogs give it everytime I place it in their crates to prevent fights, or issues on the pack order. As far as the actual toy, it looks, feels, and even smells like a tire, but without any problems with the dogs accepting it to play with. The toy bounces like a ball, and the overall weight is heavy enough to ensure durability. Just like a tire, the toy is made of rubber, not plastic material. I have found that smearing small amounts of peanut butter in to the crevices of the tire rather than brand specific treats is just as effective, I will also freeze the peanut butter into the tire, and this also increases the length of time it takes for the dogs to consume. I ended up buying three more toys, mostly so all my dogs have one, and that I also have one as a spare. I would recommend this to any owner of a "Heavy Chewer" as the product is well made, and yet to have any defect or piece removed by any of my dogs, and they do chew on these toys extensively.
