I have tried several different studio monitor setups (with and without subwoofers) and several other prosumer FrankenPatches (including floor standing speakers with subwoofer in the space you see here) for my bass guitar practice. None was able to reproduce a non-clipping, saturated, moderate level bass guitar signal without buzzing or otherwise clipping at the drivers. What you see here substitutes for a $10k+ mid-field 3-way monitor/subwoofer setup at one-tenth the price, brilliantly. When I finally went off the deep-end and mounted these two (on-sale!) Polk R400s on Pyle stands, as you see, everything changed. My basses have never sounded better reproduced, at any price. Now I'm set with a DBX Venue 360 handling low-latency room EQ and crossover, with the low-end out to a Zu Undertone in the corner and stereo to two Schiitt Vidar monoblocks powering the Polks. Thick, chewy, loud bass shakes the house! The Polks breath bass like its just air.

Received item defective. Speaker does not work and bass port tube was disconnected from port!
