Good gigging stand
Great stand to keep in a kit bag or tool box. Sturdier than the small, folding Fender type stands, but I wouldn't to push a guitar from the headstock and see if it stayed standing up. I keep one in the tool box on the work bench to put a guitar onto as required. I don't think I'd want to leave one on there permanently, so a good gigging stand as it's easy to transport

Great lightweight portable stand
I bought this as I was looking to downsize my set up and needed a small portable stand capable of supporting my acoustic guitar (Fender Hellcat). I already own another Hercules guitar stand so am familiar with the quality and the ingenuity. This stand doesn’t disappoint, especially for the price. Very lightweight and small enough to put in a rucksack or bag. I love the design, which has been well thought out to balance weight and sturdiness, there’s also rubber in all the right places to ensure that the guitar is supported and the base doesn’t move. I’ve taken off a star for sturdiness as this is not going to be as supportive as a metal framed equivalent, and you wouldn’t want to necessarily use this at a small pub gig where it might be easily knocked. As a solution for taking a guitar to a practice, round to a mates or somewhere where there’s less risk of it being accidentally knocked, absolutely ideal!

Excellent stand
Excellent stand. Strong, robust, very simple to set up. Folds up compactly so great when out and about.

Good overall but a minor concern.
Hercules are my favoured guitar stand manufacturer. They make innovative, good quality and reliable stands and hangers. That's more important for someone who owns several guitars that many might appreciate. This stand is light, portable, and can be used for a variety of guitar types and sizes. The design is clever, the material seems good quality, and the price is about right. My niggle? There is bit more flex in the upright part of the stand than I would like. I have a cheaper folding stand thay feels more rigid. This allows for greater user confidence, I would suggest. Would I buy another? Probably. If the price were discounted.

Outstanding Design and Utility That Works
This is a superbly designed compact stand for your guitar / bass /acoustic instrument. It collapses down to very light and compact package indeed that you can also put in the instrument bag. The design is a genius design in my view. When you use and expand it, don't be too rough - just take it easy as it is mostly plastic (but high quality dense plastic )- pull it apart and erect GENTLY and it will last you a life time. When erected, it has long feet at the front which help to make it stable (distribute the weight). It will even take an Ovation bowl back type of guitar and stand that upright without there being any tendency to move forward - the guitar sits upright and absolutely stable on a FLAT FLOOR (please note). There is no off balance effect at all - you really have to push the instrument forward if you want it to tip forward. I'm not sure that with thicker bodied instruments you'd want to use it in outside gig in high wind but for electric guitars and basses that will essentially be leaning back on the stand, it should not be problem as the instrument will be adding to the weight of those long front stabilisers. There are two yellow expanders on the front to accommodate thicker instruments that press down in order to do so. Normally these will keep your thinner bodied instruments like electric guitar and basses at slight angle and stable on the stand. What else can I say? It works and I'd recommend it to any musician looking for portability or an extra stand.

Brilliant piece of practical design...
The featured product photos don't do this brilliantly designed little guitar stand justice. Fully collapsed, it measures just 4 cm (1.5 inches) thick, 25 cm (10 inches) long, and 10 cm (4 inches) wide, looks like a smooth sided oblong box with no protrusions to snag on things, and weighs about the same as a large paperback book - small enough & thin enough to slip easily into a guitar gig bag pocket or even a coat pocket. Pull on the two sides of the "box" and it quickly & easily extends out into a decent sized floor stand, with no wing nuts or other bits to tighten or adjust - large enough to hold both wide bodied acoustic and thin bodied electric guitars thanks to the clips on its floor legs that adjust to the guitar's body width. And yet, despite being so light, it becomes remarkably stable once a guitar is loaded onto it - difficult to knock over if bumped into from the front, although the low level floor leg clips do make it vulnerable to bumps from the side. Not a replacement for larger, heavier & bulkier stands in busy environments where its vulnerability to "side knocking" could be an issue, but perfect if your looking for what must be the smallest, realistically "usable" guitar stand out there - and... it's cheap.

Does its job well
The best thing about this is its design and that it folds away to a nice small neat shape so can be easily packed away. Perfect for taking to and from rehearsals/gigs. It's not the most stable stand or robust as it's almost entirely made of plastic. So I have to assume it will break at some point. But for the price and the clever design it's a worthy piece of kit. I've been using it for rehearsals for a while now and it's a welcome addition and no fuss to have. Recommend.

Solid and easy to use.
This is a robust little stand that folds down quite well - easily fits into a gig bag pocket and works well for both acoustic and electric guitars. I trust one of these on stage with my Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul.

It's not hard to spend considerable money on a guitar stand. But at the end of the day, the job is rather straightforward -- keep a guitar off the floor, safely and securely. Don't damage the finish of the instrument, don't be "tippy", and extra points for being light and easily portable, still more credits for the ability to collapse into a very compact form. All good here. This wee beastie weighs nothing, folds to fit in a pocket on a gig bag, happily holds either an electric or an acoustic guitar very steadily, leaving no marks or damage of any sort behind. The only demerit I could assign would be that if you are dealing with an acoustic-electric guitar that has a cable plugged into the end pin (say, at a gig), well, this cradles the guitar too low for a typical stright-angle jack to clear the floor. You'll need a cable with a 90-degree jack. Otherwise, great item. I've bought 3, and at gigs use them to have several guitars lined up near me within easy reach. So easy to transport and use.
