A nice set of brushes, especially for the price
I have purchased in the past some watercolor brushes that I loved, but the smallest size abruptly stopped dispensing water. My biggest criteria for a new set were that they had a nice even distribution of water, a nice point on the bristles and I like to be able to click the lid on the end securely so I am not constantly losing the lids. This brush set hit all of those points! The flow of water is actually a slow, steady continuous welling. My brushes in the past required me to give it a squeeze to dispense more water, which means that there was always an inconsistent source of water. This one, because it is dispensing smoothly, gives me a predictable and steady amount of water to utilize, which makes for very nice, smooth and unstreaky washes. With the price point of two full sets this was even a better price than trying to buy a single set of the rounds, which is what I was primarily looking for. I will say, of the 12 brushes, there was a small problem with one of the large flat brushes. A small piece of plastic that holds the brush shape flat got stuck immediately inside the lid, and I had to use a crochet hook to fish it out. Ultimately, it wouldn't stick so I ended up putting a dab of glue on that part to hold it in place, since it doesn't affect being able to put water in it and as far as I could tell I wouldn't ever need to get in that part. But other than that small snag, I am super happy with these brushes. I would definitely purchase them again

Nice pens at a nice price point
I am new to watercolor so I didn’t have experience using watercolor pens. I bought this set based on user reviews. I used several of the pens yesterday on a small project and they worked really well. Easy to fill and refill with water. Nice synthetic brush tips and they clean up nicely by running water from the tap. Nice set of water pens for the price.

Perfect for all your projects
Easy to use, but a bit hard to open after ensuring there will be no leaks from the connection part. We used them for a craft with children who are never too careful about bristles. All the brushes survived the abuse, and are still in good enough condition to use on adult water color projects. Good size for water volume. We didn't need to refill too often.

Some issues
Bought Black Friday 2024 I’m a very beginner beginner with watercolor guys so yeah I have no idea if they’re good if you want to go pro… The pens are very similar to the normal ones you’d get from a watercolor brush pen set. So far it seems like to me out of the 12 pens I got there are 6 types each with 2 pens (I’m a bit blind so maybe it’s just that the difference is too small for me to tell). Types: 1. small regular brush pen 2. medium regular brush pen (small brush size difference from 1) 3. big regular brush pen 4. medium flat brush pen If you look at my picture you can see the size jump… I was hoping for maybe an in between brush size… 5. large flat brush pen 6. XL flat brush pen (size doesn’t actually vary much from 5) CONS 1. 1 brush came without any hair??? 2. Box was ripped in many areas… maybe it’s the Black Friday frenzy. I’ll update after I try it out a couple of times!

Great Watercolor Brush Pens!
I ended up here because of the quantity of pens for the price, but then I read the reviews, was scared away, and started my search again. So many negative reviews... But the reviews are the same almost everywhere concerning this type of pen. So I came back for this deal! Ok. So the main issues I found in the reviews were: the durability of the pens; and the manner in which you open/close the pens to fill/empty the water for the pens. The durability comes into question because of the way the pens open/close: turning them the opposite way you'd expect to open them can ruin the plastic where they connect and destroy the pen. There is no work around. It seems most, if not all, of these watercolor brush pens out there are made the same way, and probably mostly in the same factory. They all unscrew righty-not-tighty. I now have others from three different brands and they are all the same. My recommendation: unscrew slowly and with as little force or pressure as possible. Be gentle. After a while you will get used to it. Then forget after a few days... Just be gentle. These work so well! I'm in love with these pens!! Really good quality and a great quantity, too! I've only used water inside the pens, with solid and liquid watercolor paints. With great enjoyment. Other recommendations: find a needle-less syringe or plastic eye droppers to fill the pens easily; use water and soap, detergent or brush cleaner after use to keep them clean and in good shape!

Good Value For Price and Fun to Use
These are great for painting outdoors or when traveling because the water stays inside and you can skip having a cup or bowl that will spill. I would recommend them. One note - they are not very heavy plastic, so some care is needed to store and transport them when filled so they don't squish and leak water out.
