This is a great bit of kit and is essential for open water swimming - it's really well made and much better than the PVC cheapo ones you can get on here.Lomo is a new company to me - I've been really impressed with their cost vs quality and I now exclusively buy their kit for my outdoor persuits.

Good bit of kit this just got in to wild swimming and my five year old daughter has come with me and sometimes i strap it to her or me and she holds it .we have just done the nc500 and been in the sea every day and i feel safe letting her paddle with this attached also i have always been one for swimming far out from shore and this really takes the fear out of the back of my mind about cold water shock syndrome as even the best swimmers have died from this.gonna purchase another so we have one each. was sceptical about the dry bag ones as if they leak ur potentially fecked .but the quality of this one seams pretty good .Would reccommend anyone wild swimming to get a to float even if not this one as you never know when cold water can take hold of you.Really does put u at ease and was worried about a cheaper one and the quality of this one seems pretty good

Really nicely designed. I use it for longer distance open water swimming. It's very bright and visible from shore, the material is tough so has survived many bangs off buoys/shore/other swimmers. It's inflatable in seconds and folds away into your swim bag quickly. The adjustable cord for your waist is very important so you can shorten it/lenghten it so you don't continuously smack it with your arms as you swim. I'd recommend this.

Fantastic, quality kit at a sensible price, I changed mine for the dry bag float for just a few pounds more.The first time I used it there were poorly behaved jet skiers buzzing around the shore line, there was no doubt that the float clearly highlighted where I was in the water.It was also a peace of mind with my kit stored in the dry bag as opposed to being left on the beach and a pleasant surprise when it actually did what did it said and kept the clothes dry.As a past channel swimmer and still a long distance swimmer this is the best piece of kit for open water swimming that I have come across in the 35 years of long distance swimming

Very good quality item. Quick and easy to inflate and deflate. Dries quickly and rolls neatly for easy storage. It appears sturdy and durable.I bought this for sea swimming as I'm not the most confident swimmer and it gave me that bit of a boost to stretch myself a bit.The waist strap is kindly generous in circumference but easy to adjust if a child is using it.It is easily buoyant enough for larger adults.The cord is long enough that it doesn't get in the way when swimming. The surface area touching the water is minimal when fully inflated and so doesn't create noticeable drag.I like the straps on the side which makes it easier and more reassuring to hold on to. (The floats without straps which you have to hug if you need to use it are a bit slippery and unstable unless you remember to float on your back.)The children loved playing with it. It withstood me towing them about (although I wouldn't want to risk rough games that might rip off the straps).

solid material and useful as a float when you need a break

Lomo is a good brand and I think I was just unlucky with this float as have had one by lomo before that was great. It doesn't stay inflated for long. I swim for approx an hour on average and by the time I get out this float is not as full of air as when I started. To be fair to the seller I didn't contact them as I've used it a lot and just blow it up if I need to.
