Great Analog to Digital converter
A bit of a pain to set up on my raspberry pi as there were hurdles I hadn't expected to need to deal with. Essentially this chip converts analog signals to digital ones. I used it to convert the signal from a joystick (input) to control a servo (output). It required a lot of non standard libraries (code) to get it working and some additional configuration, but once present, it worked as desired.

Great price, quick delivery and is exactly what you pay for.
Used it for an A level project and was exactly what I needed to be able to use my temperature and humidity sensors from a Raspberry pi. Has 8 channels that can be programmed with and the manufacturers Adafruit have some great information on there website about how to connect and program the channels by using basic binary shifting.

Eseential chip for the Pi
I use this with my Raspberry PI, as it doesn't have much in the way of connectivity to analog devices. The chip gives 8 10-bit analog channels, accessed via SPI. I used the Pi breakout board, but it could be connected straight to the 40-way connector. This chip is pretty much an essential for the Pi if you're playing around with sensors.

It's ok
It connected and worked but didn't suit my needs. If you're sensing temperatures and such, it's great, but if you're feeding it analogue thumbstick signals for gaming, get an ads1115 instead.

Great little chip
This is a great little A/D converter. Very easy to use.
