It doesn't fit The real Makita battery
Worst thing I have ever got. I have 10 Makita batteries and the thrill does not fit into the proper battery and it made me give it one star. I would give it none to submit my review

Power drill body only was the best solution for me
Only 4star as only time will tell as to longevity, but being as I have the same drill and a second battery I thought it would be good to be able to drill and insert screws without having to change drill tool for screw bit. Buying a power drill body only was the best solution for me.

Solid and reliable - top value
As per other reviews, I’ve had my original of this model for several years and been very pleased with it. To pick up a second/backup one at this price is a complete no-brainer. So many typical jobs require changing between drill and driver that not having to probably means much less wear on the chuck, so hopefully extends the lives of both units. Worth mentioning the perfect balance in the hand too - very noticeable compared to deWalt and Bosch I’ve had in the past. The G series batteries are still available, and a Makita original is only about £35.

Great value pro-quality combi.
I now have 2 of these, identical, with 2 batteries. The drill has a great weight to it and feels good in the hand. Having completed a few large projects I can confirm it's very well built - the controls are easy to use. It's powerful enough for everything bar the most challenging of masonary drilling. This was a body only purchase but the batteries have a great life and charge quickly. If you're doing a job that involves both a lot of drilling and screwing (likely woodwork) then 2 drills is a real boon. That said, once you've mastered it the change of bits is quick and easy.
