Ibanez TS808 Reissue Tubescreamer - Distortion for Guitars

Have played some originals and always loved the subtle sustain this pedal gives. It's a class act no doubt and it's rich creamy sustain still allows your guitar tone to punch through.Decided to buy a new one rather than splash out hundreds on an original but wasn't sure I'd done the right thing. That thought dissappeared as soon as I plugged it in! Ibanez have still got it right and it will always be a favourite for me.It was good enough for SRV!

Unbelievable. Is worth 20 Bad Monkeys! Matched my high expectations of it. At first I could not believe the warm subtle sound that left other effects intact. For me it works the best when overdriving other effects pedals (such as Blues Driver or other crunch effect) for a truly awesome sound.

This is a classic pedal, which I cannot criticise, seems solid and well made, arrived with a battery included. You will find your own journey with it.

Great service from Old-New Japan. Got my pedal from Japan in just 9 days from ordering, 1 day ahead of the delivery window. This is a great pedal with a lovely warm tone. I run the guitar through a BD2 into this TS808 and then a little reverb and a touch of delay and it sounds amazing. Very pleased and so will the neighbours be.

The amount of warmth, tone and gain this gives is amazing. It is an essential part of a pedal board now. Build quality is good and the delivery took one day on standard delivery. I recommend this to any guitarist.

It is way beyond anything the clones seem to be offering. Save your money and just go for this. Absolutely beautiful.Magical.... really touch-sensitive sonics so you can dive in and get dreamily lost in your own playing. A little obvious to give it a great review as it is such a legendary pedal. But, after playing many ' green' type pedals ...this really is a genius invention.I won't be wasting any more money on the cheaper alternatives. Besides...this price is great.There is so much to ' gain' by giving your fingers this gem.I have yet to try TS9 and TS10...I think the addiction continues...

Amazing service and arrived in record time. Well packaged, brand new, this thing rocks like a...well you know. This TS 808 is more of an overdrive or boost than a distortion pedal and it definitely has the clean mid ranges I had read so much about that are so often lost in other pedals of this type. In fact I bought this after buying literally loads of OD/Dist style pedals due to the fact that almost every pedal review in the guitar comics compares back to this as the yardstick for what an overdrive should sound like. Eventually the penny dropped and I actually bought the pedal that most of the others on the market are trying to emulate, and I am very happy with the results and would definitely recommend Old-New Japan to buy one from. Now I'm off to try to sell a cupboard full of my redundant pedals...

Love it, but the switch broke. Replaced the switch, still not working...must be something internal, as opposed to the switch itself. A bit of a shame, but it sure does sound great.
