Brilliant Printer by Brother
Can't fault the supplier as arrived a day earlier than stated. This printer is the best I've ever used. I've owned several inkjet printers in the past and always had problems with print quality and also the cost of ink as they used to use lots of ink to print. I decided some time ago that I no longer wanted a printer; however due to Covid19, I now work from home and have no access to print. I took the plunge and bought this model as I didn't want to print colour, just the odd few documents for holidays etc. The printer set up was easy and very impressed with the speed and quality of each page and even more impressed that it automatically can print double-sided saving paper. The only problem I have had is that Brother will not register the printer as it was not apparently produced for the UK market. Not too amused, but in the overall view, I will, by law, get 12 months guarantee, so not too worried.I would definitely recommend a Brother printer to anyone looking to buy this model.

Easy to set up if you follow the instructions
Easy to set up if you follow the instructions. Simple and quick to set up. From out of the box it was printing wireless in about 15 minutes, thats including the time to read the instructionsNot had it long but so far it is flawless for its intended use (small business, home network). Its nice and quick and quietPaper is easy to load and loads from a tray at the front so you need make sure there is space n front of the printer to slide the draw open. The print is very crisp and clear which is excellent for me as I need it to print bar codes and sometimes quite small ones.It is also worth noting that it seems to run sheets of labels from the tray perfectly too. However, time will tell if running sheets of labels will end up being a problem due to build up of adhesive they may leave. But if you're not running 1000's of sheets through I cant see it being a problem. Not had it long enough to comment on the toner usage yet.

Decent low-cost laser printer, some difficulties with the warranty.
Set up was fairly easy for me (Windows 8 + wifi connection); the setup disc wasn't able to auto-detect my wifi settings but it only took a minute to tap in the password via the buttons on the printer itself. Print quality seems fine, but haven't really put that to the test yet.One thing to note: if your printer comes internationally (e.g. shipped from Republic of Ireland, delivered to the UK, as mine was) Brother's online product registration will fail to recognise your serial number as valid. Their support staff were quickly able to manually register me, but it means I have the "pan-European" warranty, which is the same 1-year length but is a return-to-base warranty instead of the on-site warranty that a UK-bought printer would get. Minor difference, but worth knowing.

Solid, value home office printer
The proof of a printer is told over time, so this is purely first impressions. This was chosen because of very good experience with an earlier model (HL-2270DW). A second printer was need at another location and the HL-L2340DW is the updated equivalent, selling at a very good price. Unfortunately the toner cartridge is different from the older model, which means having to stock both. Just like its predecessor the 2340 is well built, is easy to install on a Mac system, prints quickly, double sided, quiet and has a good "always on" sleep mode. Print quality is excellent. Although it is a wireless printer, like the 2270, it is being used only wired for now. Go online, download the latest Mac driver for your OS (Sierra), plug in the prinetr and follow instructions, all up and running in under 5 minutes. If problems develop, I'll update the review.

A great wifi printer for the home office
We needed a printer for use in two home offices for occasional printing. We have had it for a few months now and it is doing a good job. Even the starter toner pack that came with it seemed to last a long time and there are lots of third party toner cartridge providers out there too.The wi-fi functionality is incredibly helpful - no cables, other than the power lead, for one thing. The only downside to the wifi - and it is really not a problem with the wifi, but with the material your home is made of, and the location of the printer - is that when first setting up it can have difficulty finding the network if it is in the diagonally opposite corner of the house. However, the solution is simple, take the printer (no computer needed) to the router, plug it in to the power, turn it on, and set up the wifi there. Then unplug the printer and take it back to where you want it - it will normally be able to find the signal then (once it knows what it is looking for?).
