Fed up with the local canine community using my front garden as a floral faecal facility I purchased a pest control solar ultrasonic pet repellent out of sheer desperation having tried just about everything else! Lasted 18 months, brilliant for deterring dirty dawgs! Both dials on max, no doggy doos.This is my second purchase and for approx £2 a month, it’s totally worth it! Doesn’t like really heavy and sustained rainfall (dried it out in their airing cupboard in a bag of silica sachets saved for errant toilet visiting mobile phones)One consideration is that Younger people can hear it too, under 10s find it a little uncomfortable, teenagers find it really annoying, 20-30 year olds find it irritating and the older you get the more you are spared from the background ticking noise that becomes apparent when you trigger it off. It’s a pity it doesn’t target ignorant dog owners who allow their dogs to do their doings in my garden!

I can only assume that this kind of thing just doesn't work on some cats. We bought this to try and stop cats from coming into the garden, and because it's only a couple of times a day and there are many setting variations, I decided to see if I could get decent test results with a control group, namely my cat and dog.With every single setting, all I got was a mixture of intrigue, and disregard. The most promising result was on the specified setting for cats, but that resulted in it getting his attention, at which point he then came over, sniffed it and rubbed his face on it. Kind of the opposite of what we're looking for!I also tried the same tests on the dog. She sniffed it, then licked it.Overall, not a good result. Paid a little more because this one seemed to have the best results and build quality, but evidently, doesn't live up to the price tag.One thing I will say though, definitely water proof! The only reason I didn't return it was because it hammered it down with rain the night I first put it in the garden. So the build quality is good, but the only thing it annoys in the garden, is me! -_-

We had a very severe cat problem with more than ten cats from neighbouring houses using our garden as a toilet - in a street where most of the houses don't have their own gardens. Of the various brands that I've tried, these are the most reliable and effective. Gradually, I have replaced all previous units with this brand and they have largely contained the problem.It has to be said that the units are no a miracle cure. The cats do get used to them and find gaps in your defences. They even sneak up behind the units to do their business. You have to locate them with care, therefore. The work best when the fields overlap and the positioning is such that you are forcing the animals to walk towards the unit, rather then across the field.Very often, on a freshly-raked bed, you can see the tracks and that helps with the location of the units. I also use prickle strips to channel the animals into the unit, so they get the full blast and maximum deterrent effect. Moving the units every so often around also helps.With all this, I have reduced the daily burden of droppings to the occasional visitor. Short of land mines and machine guns, there is nothing better if you want your garden to yourself.

It equates to having a 2L petrol tank on your car i.e you are not going to go far on 2L of petrol.Obtain the highest rating mah rechargeable battery you budget can stretch to i.e 2000 mah or higher you can get 3,500 mah 1.2-volt rechargeable batteries. The best of the best are Panasonic Eneloop rechargeable batteries, they last much longer than 200mah batteries especially on those long dark grey days with no sunlight for solar charging.Through the winter months, about 4 times across the winter months you will still have to recharge these batteries with a mains charger as most solar garden electronic devices just can not recharge the battery, as there is just not enough light especially if the solar re-charge panel is a small one.It is important to understand the limitations of an electronic device, especially its power source before you launch into criticism. Fit a 2,000 mah or above and it equates to fitting a 50 to 80-liter petrol tank to your car, i.e. it will last much longer before requiring a charge via solar or mains power.Purchase an electronic device with bog standard 1.5volt non rechargeable and it will like most of the reviews state eat batteries. Just what the consumer economy wants i.e. you must buy loads of batteries to keep your device operating.

Looks good, Easy to put together. But don't know how well it works. Maybe the cats in my area are deaf or they take time to decide they don't like the noise and light. Returned it after two weeks because it stopped working completely

He comprado dos unidades hace 7/8 meses, y uno he dejado de funcionar. Despues de hacar contacto con el vendedor ellos han enviado uno nuevo. Buen servicio atención post venta y la maquina esta efectiva.

Du moins il me semble.Configuré en mode + (son et flash) les chats du voisinage sont nettement moins enclins à venir c.… dans mes nouvelles plantations.En prime, il éloigne ma femme et les personnes sensibles à certains ultrasons.Suivant son emplacement, indispose également les adeptes du porte à porte, témoins de Jehovah, belle-mère, etc...EDIT : après qq semaines d'usage, le résultat est mitigé car dépendant de la sensibilité de l'animal concerné.Par ex, mes 2 chats réagissent différemment, la femelle évite systématiquement l'appareil, le male l'ignore complètement.Mon avis se base sur l'utilisation quotidienne de 2 de ces détecteurs.

Two of these are strategically positioned in our garden to prevent cats entering. If anything walks in front of them a blue light comes on and if you have good ears you can hear a clicking sound. Apparently cats hear something different. We haven’t had a problem since we got them so they must be doing the job. We have a lot of birds in the garden and they walk around in front of them without being bothered.
