Does The Job
I occasionally purchase CD’s and I rip them onto my computer. This did the job without spending an arm and a leg for it. It is small and light weight. I use it and put it away. I like that the cord clips into its own section on the bottom of the device. The connection is USB A AND USB C . I had no issues using it with my MacBook Air. It is not quiet. I thought it was loud. The rip speed is slow it took 7 minutes to rip a 12 song CD. I have not played a CD or DVD. For the price it does the job……

Loud but compatible
Works fine on a Macbook and mini, it's just too loud (yes louder than I remember how Dvd players used to be), but it does the job just fine, and I doubt I'd need to use it again.

Tricky on a Mac
Spent hours trying to get this to work on MacBook Air. Needs to use VLC player. Should have this noted in description. Not plug and play like description reads

Best price I could find. Computers and laptops don't come with these anymore. It does the job, and the cords fit in their slots nice for storage.

Don't Buy This CD Drive! Hcsunfly offered refund but didn't followthrough. Seller ot to be trusted!
I purchased this drive twice. The first time, it stopped working almost immediately. The second time, it worked for a couple months and stopped working. I tired the usual methods for connecting this drive to my MacBook Pro and none worked. The drive is simply kaput! Warning: do not buy. A waste of money. If I could give it no stars I would.UPDATE 1/14/2025: This seller contacted me and offered a refund. I have waited a couple months. I accepted their offer but they did not follow-through and provide me with a refund. They ignored my reply accepting their offer. Purchase a drive from another seller. Hcsunfly is not to be trusted. I also reported them to Amazon who responded they would get back to me.UPDATE: 2/6/2025: Seller did not respond to additional email. Amazon said they would get back to me but did not. Amazon is slipping!

I'm confused
I got this to watch my movies but I put one in and the screen showed up fine but then when I went to try to play movie it keeps telling me I have to change resolution of screen and color depth I did that and it still didn't work so I'm confused I really want to watch my movies if I could get some help for that it would be nice but idk I'm really lost the DVD player did come the way I wanted though I just want to watch movies please and thank you.
