Great
Love it. Great replacement for egg flavour. Tried it in a veg and egg salad and let my family try. They are all non vegans and were surprised by the egg flavour (even without the egg)

‘Eggy’ Salt - Stibky
I’m still finding humour in the reviews complaining about the eggy smell. 🤣 That aside, Kala namak works wonders to make scrambled tofu as a vegan alternative to scrambled eggs. Any fellow vegans making scrambled tofu that are finding it too salty, try mixing with some plant milk and tahini and stirring into the tofu after it’s been fried for a few mins. I’d like to give quantities, but I’m one of those cooks that adds a bit of this and that until I get the taste I like. If I make too much liquid it keeps in an airtight in the fridge for a few days. I’ve only used for scrambled tofu thus far, but I’m sure could be used to add eggy flavour to other dishes. I use many other Whole Food Earth products and they’re always of high quality.

Definitely gives a more ‘eggy’ taste
As a family of vegans there are some things we still miss, scrambled egg being one of them. We’d been having tofu scramble for some time but even with some nutritional yeast in the mix it was still lacking flavour. We’d high hopes for this salt having read many rave reviews and were looking forward to transformed breakfasts. It was a definite hit with my daughter and sister and definitely gave the scramble more of an ‘eggy’ flavour. You have to add a good teaspoon or more though and personally I found the salty taste a bit overwhelming (but I don’t usually have very salty food). For me, I’ll give it a miss but I can see it being used quite regularly by the others in the house - a good job really as it’s a big bag, I mean you get a lot of salt! We appreciated the completely recyclable packsging, it was really good to see paper instead of harmful plastic for a change. That said, we decanted it into two jars (you really do get a lot of salt) for ease of use. Overall a good buy I think, a big hit with two out of three people in the household, the verdict’s open with the third.

Excellent Product Especially For Vegans
This is my first Amazon review ever. I have to sing the praises of this salt. It arrived fairly quickly, I don't know how the price compares with any other companies but I think it's a really reasonable price, It's going to last me for a very long time i think. It was well packaged also.On opening it....it smells really strong, eggy, sulphurous. If you don't like the smell or taste of eggs then don't bother buying it! It's quite strong. I made my first ever vegan tofu scramble (fried green onions, peppers, mushrooms, fresh green chillies, with a block of blended tofu, turmeric, crushed garlic and a big fat pinch of this salt as i didn't know how much to use at first) I was so impressed! It was way better than I expected it to be. Perfect for vegans who used to like eggs. It's wonderful stuff, quality product. I haven't even looked at the health benefits yet - I have a feeling it's full of amazing minerals etc.Highly recommended!
