A bit slow ..
Tv is a bit slow. Not as “Smart” as I expected. Still a great screen and audio quality is quite good! Just need a bit more technological advancements.

Smart TV not quite smart enough, but close
The model delivered was a Sharp LC40CFE6242E. Easy to set up once I changed the onscreen language from German to English. Picture quality is very good and the sound is fine with access to a sound equalizer function to fine tune if you don't want the presets. A couple of downsides, hence the 4 stars and not 5. If you have Sky then your Sky remote can't be programmed to operate the TV as the Sharp remote uses RF whilst Sky uses standard IR. A little irritating to get used to two remotes again, but not too much. Could not get the TV to access the internet via wifi - can connect with the router but that's as far as it goes. However, access via hard wire and a powerline plug is very easy, all automatic. But I'm afraid I was a bit disappointed with the smart function, limited apps, no Netflix or Amazon and BBC iPlayer won't work. UMC-UK who appear to be the agents to contact in case of problems state that a software update is available but not it seems for this particular model, I've emailed them about the wifi connections issue and software update with no response. I'm hoping I don't have to contact them for anything more serious as their lack of communication doesn't fill me with confidence. A nice touch is the ability to cast from a device on the same network to the TV, so if you're running Windows 10 then casting from a laptop or PC is easy if you want to access Netflix or Amazon prime etc from your device. However, I'd strongly suggest you ignore the smart function and buy a cheap Android box, this works much better and you have access to many more apps. Once set up the TV can be registered online to start an 18 month guarantee period. I'm pretty happy overall and hoping I get the same trouble free 12 year service I got from my previous TV.

I like the item and the frame looks amazing but the ...
I have bought 2 TVs, same problem.Unfortunately there was some faults with the TVs mainboards ( I have contacted the UMC-UK team- warranty service for this tv). The troubles were:-Sometimes they were really slow just to move through the menu and the TVs didn't follow the remote control instructions(or they got to much time).-Sometimes the Tvs switched off it self (while I have set the "auto switch off" option on off) mostly when Theay are loading some youtube videos or when you are really using the tv.So, the TV works well just if you use it to watch some channels but no hurry to change them and hoping that it doesn't turn off by itself.I am sorry about that, I like the item and the frame looks amazing but the TV doesn't work at 100%.

Delivery etc very good however tv was faulty sent back for refund, as no re-placement available. Would have been good value if working correctly.

Small issues, but on the whole really nice.
I've had this TV for a couple weeks, I would have had it longer but the first one arrived with the screen broken and nothing displaying. To my annoyance I had to pay £16 to return it and was only refunded £5 for shipping, however I was refunded the full amount for the TV and bought another of the same model. The TV itself is very nice, especially considering the cost. The display seems vibrant and a good quality and I have not noticed any delay or sluggishness during rapidly changing scenes.Generally I use it to stream shows from my laptop, plugged in through an HDMI lead, or to play games on my xbox, plugged in on a YPbPr input. It has several other inputs, which makes life easy. While it can play content straight from a usb, it doesn't recognise .ppt slides. The main negative is the 'smart' functionality is really slow, like it only just has enough hardware capability for what it does. When navigating the menus, such as changing inputs it's a bit slow and sometimes gives up. Also it's happened twice that the TV just switched off while in use - provided that the frequency of this doesn't increase it shouldn't be a problem. On the whole, pretty good. Given the price, I'm really happy.
