Good product for basic data
This is a very neat pedometer, with an easy to read screen. The initial set up is a bit faffy, if you've never used a pedometer previously, but once set, time, date, weight, stride length, metric or imperial, it's easy to use. It apparently holds enough data for a month before it auto resets its totals. And it's auto on & off. If I understand the really tiny instructions, there's a 10 second delay, before any actual data is recorded (don't quote me!) I always record my total kms, time, distance and calories burnt, onto a spreadsheet in any event. This same model pedometer seems to be marketed under a bewildering number of brand names & prices. It's not smart technology & can't be synced to anything. It works by sensing motion ie walking. Brisk or otherwise. I've been doing powerwalking since 2009, over previously measured routes, so have a pretty good idea about what my totals will look like over say 5.5km, 11.5km & 20km. I'd guesstimate it's within about 10-15% of previous totals recorded using Apps on my phone or other brands of pedometers. If you're training for a triathlon or iron man/woman it's not going to deliver, producing very basic data & stats. Something costing over & above the modest £9.99 plus delivery will be required for those events. But for regular brisk walks, it does the job. A clip on lanyard is supplied. I'd say for accuracy clipping securely to a belt or pocket, on your dominant side (are you a lefty or a righty?) will improve accuracy & scores. However counting out 20 or so steps from your lounge to the kitchen, might not produce pin point accuracy on this wee machine? Trial & error and tweaking the set up will deliver acceptable results, in my book. I'm six foot and walk fast, in all weathers, nudging 6kph on the flat or down hill, so then my stride will naturally lengthen, likewise my stride will shorten and average speed will drop crossing rough ground or doing an uphill. With regular use, if it lasts a year or so, job done. Dropping it or immersing into water, I'd say, is not recommended. I like it this product 🙂👍

Good, but not sure how accurate they are.
This is a good pedometer, with a couple of provisos. I only gave it 4 stars as I ordered 2 of these, 1 for my wife and myself. 1 worked perfectly from the start the other was faulty and had to be returned. To be fair, that was easy and accepted immediately so no complaints about customer service, I give that 5 stars. The second issue is a strange one. Having put our measurements in we end up with different step counts and by a considerable margin even when we start on zero and walk the route together. We do have different stride lengths so we would expect that our step counts would have a small difference. However, the difference is in the hundreds and this is the puzzle, I have a shorter stride length than my wife and so it take me more steps to cover the same distance so you would think my step count would be the higher one but this is not the case, my wife's counter is always 3-7 hundred difference over a 10000 step range. I have worn them both with the stride setup unchanged and get the same result and so my conclusion is that even though over a short distance they match steps, I believe that over a long distance they may well not be so accurate. I will have to do a long range test with both set to the same parameters and do a manual count to test the accuracy of these pedometers but they seem to be accurate over a short distance so far.

average very average :(
The pos : it's well made and has alot of functions . is cheap at under £13 and if you read the instructions is not hard to set up :) but ... and there is a big but ....! it don't start counting till you have taken 10 steps , five times I've walked the same distance and had different step results each time ?(The difference being alot not afew steps) If you have it on in the car traveling it counts steps as you drive , putting hundreds of extra steps on your days count and makes the count for the day inaccurate and any other information like calories burned ect . useless

A great bit of kit.
I bought this for my wife who wanted to improve her fitness by walking and she needed something to count her strides. We tried other counters most of which you wore on your wrist. These were hopeless as even loading the dishwasher counted as 40 steps. So I thought that I would buy one of these for her and what a good buy too. It can be worn around the neck, in the pocket or as she prefers, clipped to her belt. It actually does what it is supposed to, count steps and not arm movement. A really good product, not too difficult to set up for her and easy to use. The other functions are good too, but I'm not sure how you can count calories burnt, when you have 3 meals during the day which tops your calories up, but the idea is good as is the distance walked. All in all a great buy and at a cheap price too. Best of all is that it works! I have now bought her another one as we discovered that it will not withstand a 2 hour wash in the washing machine at 40 degrees. I got her exactly the same as she loves this. It just works faultlessly. What more can you want from a pedometer?

Foe goodness sake use larger fonts !
Does what it says on the tin ( If you can READ the tin !) My only criticism, as with most of these small high Tech Items, is the Instructions !! Tiny writing, tiny buttons. You read ( eventually) what to do next and by the time you get back to the buttons, it has gone back to where it started ! I am 71 and can't even find the buttons on my mobile phone !! If you don't have a Tech savvy son in law like me, you will have immense difficulty in setting this up . The gadget itself is perfect !! JUST the instructions cost the fifth star !!! :) Don't judge them, the gadget once set up is easy to use and does all it says !!

The pedometer is a bit larger than I would have preferred (3" x 1.5" with the clip x just under 1" deep with the clip) but it works great and the clip is quite sturdy. To the best of my knowledge there is no pedometer that is exact, but this is really close. You may need to find the best location to put it for accuracy, but that is the same with all pedometers. The numbers are easy to read and it was easy to set up too! This suits my needs perfectly since I did not want something that will require some sort of app or phone to use it and this fit the bill perfectly and the price is great! It would be nice if it also told you the speed at which you are walking, but it does give me the information on steps I have walked as well as the time and distance so I am quite happy and would definitely recommend this to others.
