My wife and I are up in age and it has become difficult to open jars with arthritis in our hands. It's a little sloppy, but it does the job. Didn't really need the can opener.

I thought this was a good idea, and even bought two, one to give to a friend with arthritis. However, it does not work as it should. It's awkward to get the grippers to the size you want, and once you get it firmly on the lid, you can't grip it tight enough to work consistently. The problem is a pawl in the handle that is supposed to lock into the handle at any size you choose. but it doesn't, and the hand-lever is nearly at its closing point once the pawl is in place. One time I applied it to a Mason Jar lid, and it would not grip the lid without slipping. I finally gave up and unscrewed the lid with my hand! Don't waste your money.
