Excellent tool!
Great tool. Does what is advertised. Wattage is off but, It's definitely got torque. Did a fancy cut gem setting with it and it turned out great! Just as good as a foredom, in my opinion. And, it it came with and extra flex shaft cable!

Powerful rotary grinder!
I am a metal worker and blacksmith, so I use this rotary grinder on nearly every project. Never had any issues at all with it, other than accidentally reversing motor direction while it’s running (the switch can get touchy when you’re wearing bulky gloves). I use it for fine detail work as well as carving out steel, brass, and copper and it does great!

Sturdy and versatile
I wanted to really love this device, but there are some issues. I quickly realized that the limited length of the flex shaft, really limits where you can hang it while working. I tried hanging it from ceiling rafter over workbench, but this limits how much reach you can get from the shaft. I ended up using a pipe clamp to clamp it to the workbench and a C clamp at the top to hang the motor from. Even with this the combination of the slippery hand grip and the rigid shaft couplings can make the motor swing around while using it. The geared chuck I actually prefer to the Dremel lock button/wrench combo, but because the handgrip is so slippery it takes a little while to get used to inserting the chuck key as the cylinder of the handgrip tends to rotate into the way of the opening for the key. The motor has plenty of power. Foot switch is annoying and has a cheap feel. Also the extension cord from the foot switch is not nearly long enough. With the motor hanging 3 feet off the bench, the cord barely reaches the foot switch. Why didn't they make this cord 3 feet longer? Despite this, I was able to get fairly good control of speed from the foot pedal. The including bits and accessories are disappointing. The cutting/routing bit is too small. The arbor for cutoff and cutting disks is useless and hard to use. The included sanding drums are super cheap and wore out after a minute of first use on wood. Wouldn't last more than seconds on metal. Stone bits are OK but I would have preferred one with a steeper angle. So the bottom line is that the motor and shaft are pretty sturdy, but the accessories are of poor quality. I ended up buying a separate kit with a wide selection of bits and this does the job. All of this being said, I would buy this again in preference to the Dremel+shaft equivalent because the motor is so much sturdier.

WOW! Really powerful, very smooth and a pleasure to use.
This is my first exclusive rotary shaft tool and to be honest, I regret not buying this years ago. The pedal is very smooth, albeit light weight plastic, so you may want to mount it on a small board to keep it in place. The kit comes with an extra cable which will no doubt be very helpful and the motor is quite heavy for it's size. The quality appears to be very good and there is certainly no shortage of power. I made a custom rack to hang it from and also keep the shaft out of the way and I couldn't be happier. I love having an actual drill style chuck as this will allow so many more tools to be utilized, not just Dremel style bits. I would recommend this product and have no doubt you've be very happy with your purchase, just as I am. I

Worth every penny
My husband is a jeweler and his high dollar flex shaft went out on him. We purchased this one to work with until his expensive one was replaced and he loves it so much that the old one will be put to the side for emergencies!

Breaks very often
The grinding tool does provide for variable speeds of the it rather touchy and always wanting to over rev. The biggest issue lies with the shaft, if you are not grinding or cutting at a straight angle from the head the shafts will heat up and break. I've had this tool for about 6 months and it went through five of the flexible shafts already. I would not recommend this tool

Good value
This is my second power carver, from the same company. For the price, they are pretty good. The top speed that's been around 16,000 rpms. The power covers aren't terribly fast. However, they do seem to have some good torque. If you are needing a much higher RPMs for engraving metal on guns, then you'll need to shop around for a different machine. Recommend for wood and soft stone.
