I needed a background for a shadow box in a picture frame, for a loved one that passed. So I put some of her jewelry in the shadowbox. The blue is perfect, with a soft and velvety background. It's perfect.

Super soft and beautiful velvet, I used for lining a wood box, (I make stash/jewelry boxes) and it was wonderful, I also can say that it would do great in use for clothing and costuming, it's universally functional, and a great thickness, so you can't see through it,

I need to make some velvet bass for Christmas and this material was perfect! It was easy to work with. Material is stretchy and was a little slippery when sewing it together. I do love my results. I was able to use water and an iron on this fabric. Color was true to picture.

Product is good for what it is. It’s a short tufted velvet which I wish it’d explained in the description somehow. With the short tufting material you see the line structure more on the base of the fabric making it appear “liney”. But the quality is good. When shined on with a bright light or natural sunlight it has a sparkling appearance which I was hoping to avoid. Not my favorite quality in a velvet. (You can kindof see this in one of my photos) But in dim light and avoiding bright light and sunlight is where the fabric is at its best. In natural lighting it has a dull shine we love in velvet. As far as the feel, it’s very soft velvet with minimal resistance against the grain and the stretch is nice. The “under fabric” is very good quality also very smooth and cool to the touch. For the price it’s a good buy. For best appearances of this fabric I’d avoid direct sunlight and bright lights. I hope this helps the next buyer. Good luck crafting!

For my daughter's Halloween costume I always customize or handmake some aspect. In this costume I wanted to make a cape that has slots for wings to slip through. I could have just bought a cloak but my daughter is almost 4 so I want to make an appropriate size. I went for this stretch velvet because I thought the color would be great for the price. The fabric has a fantastic 4 way stretch. I almost want to make her a dance leotard instead because the stretch is just right for that application. The weight is a nice light but solid drape. The weave makes the fabric easy to cut and drape. I found it sturdy to cut. My serger liked it when I tested it out. The color is very attractive for a purple that is hard to capture. I was hoping for a very bright purple but I think it's a bit harder to find perhaps. This was the brightest purple for the value and width. Very close to what I was thinking about.

I'm very happy with this velour, I've purchased velour many times and this one I've purchased is thick, at a good price. Just to give an example I've purchased 4 yards of pink at fabricland and it runs at 15 a yard. So total cost 60 not only was it thin but the moment its cut it rolls up making it sometimes difficult to work with with no give if you make a sewing error. I ordered a 2 yard it appears to be a generous 2 yard by the way for about 20... so its cheaper and better quality.. very excited to make something will post a picture with update. BTW what made me leave a review was the cute thank you card I support small businesses 💓
