This shell is well-made and looks great. No defects, fits perfectly, easy to install. This particular color, the translucent green, has a nice, smooth finish. Not too smooth, mind you – just smooth enough. It looks great on my black controller, as the black dashboard, ‘start,’ and ‘select’ buttons go really well with the green color. love this thing. looked kinda gritty and textured in photos but is very very smooth. i like it but if you want more textured grips, this is super smooth almost slippery. worth it though the color shine is true to photo and super iridescent. seller has youtube videos on how to take controllers apart and put these plates on, made taking the panels off look easy. thought i was gonna snap the plastic but the side panels snap in so it sounds crackly when you take it off. fits like a glove and i love it. might switch out side panels eventually back to original panels for a better grip, getting the faceplate only version they sell might be a good idea if youre worried about the texture. really appreciate the little screwdriver and set of screws, i used the original screws but its nice to have extra on hand. btw in the instructional video there was no sticker on the inside, behind the battery. i had a sticker covering it but you can slice a little hole where the screw is, it dents in and gives way so you dont have to peel it all off to get to the middle screw. just poke a hole and snip a little out to get to the screw.

Very easy to take apart and mod! Absolutely looks amazing. Will definitely be modding my other controllers and getting the new motor mods and the clicky triggers.

Appreciate the texture is smooth and grips a little better than the standard plastic shell. Good if you’re looking to mix up the look and feel of an older controller. Install was quick and easy too.

I love the look and feel of the soft touch! I ordered it and got it quick, it didn't fit right. i couldn't use the down on my d-pad? so i sent it back and got a replacement (also quick). Same issue, so I decided to use my Dremel on the inside down d-pad cutout. just a little bit. Bam. worked great. I think the paint is just a little too thick and was catching the down button. now I want a white soft touch bottom but they don't sell one without the side rails. I don't want to pay extra for something I don't need, Grrr.

Absolutely perfect quality. No air bubbles in the paint, and its tough plastic. Not the cheap stuff on series x. Here's what you need to know. The included pry is flimsy. I used a flathead screwdriver. Just be gentle with wedging. The faceplate is easy to do. The button are hard. It will take a considerable amount of time if you're a novice like me. If your perfectly fine thumbstick, sticks after disassembly DON'T panick. It will likely work when you reassemble like mine did. Xbox series x and one x controllers are harder to unscrew than the one s. Those controllers have awkward bottom screw holes. This is not a race, so if you feel yourself losing patience, walk away. Don't try to foce things. I ended up scuffling one of the controllers trying to pry off the backing. Xbox series x was the hardest to pry off out of all 3 I did. All buttons set perfectly, just as the manufacturer had it. If yours doesn't, its defective. I've done 3 controllers with 0 issues. The end results are worth the hardship ahead. This is not easy as so many claim, but it isn't incredibly hard. It's somewhere in the middle depending on what you change. Button are hard, because you have to literally rebuild your own controller. The faceplate, thumb stick, and dpad are fairly simple. Hardest part is prying off the pieces. See my Xbox series x, one x project scorpio, and one s controllers in the pictures below! Best of luck. UPDATE 11/2021Bottom side is showing signs of wear, paint is chipping off specifically on the edges. Now for me this is not terrible considering it’s on the bottom. HOWEVER, I would not have expected this to happen yet considering it’s been less than a year. Also just for clarification this is not impact damage from drops or misuse/abuse. It’s just simply paint chipping away. Would be nice if it didn’t because obviously it’s only going to get worse but hey like I said, at least it’s on the bottom and not on the faceplate itself.ORIGINAL REVIEW:So I’m definitely going to be getting a few more for my other controllers. This is awesome, way better than a clip on or a cover. Perfect fit and no issues with the install. The color is great and I love the shifting effect. It’s a smooth finish but not slippery. Definitely brings new life to my controller. I never liked the plain white.

The media could not be loaded.  If you have ever used a screwdriver before this will be an easy install. I bought this as a stocking stuffer for my girlfriend and she loves it. The texture of this mod feels amazing!It comes with everything you need to get it assembled including extra svrews, which is perfect because I definitely lost one during the install... They are tiny.

Ma manette a subit quelques désagréments liés à des activités félines et je me voyais déjà racheter une manette complète.J'ai trouvé ce produit sur Amazon et j'avoue, je ne pensais pas que cela serait aussi simple à changer.Ma manette est comme neuve, le touché est plutôt confortable. Les outils sont fournis c'est un plus :)Par contre, il n'y a pas de guide d'installation, mais cela n'est pas trop compliqué :1 - Enlever les deux caches de chaque côté de la manette2 - Enlever l'étiquette dans la trappe batterie car elle cache une vis3 - Enlever les 5 vis4 - La "carte mère" de la manette est facilement enlevable car constituée d'un seul bloc5 - Remonter dans la nouvelle coqueJ'ai acheté aussi l'arrière qui vendu séparément.Je ne regrette pas mon achat
