This remote came with a LOT of supported devices and how to program the remote for the various devices, but I thought - TRY IT and VOILA straight out of the packaging, once I had added my own 2 AA batteries, the remote worked instantaneously with my TVs! EASY PEASY! Now I have two of these remotes. I have two TVs, a Samsung 2023 and a Samsung 2024. The remote is very lightweight, in fact adding the batteries almost doubles the weight, it is that light. The buttons are raised nicely, so I might even let my weak, essential tremor in arm/hand mom use this, since she has killed some buttons in our other, older remotes (which is why I needed some replacements). These buttons do not light up, so the remote's 2 AA batteries should last a long time. I love that it uses normal batteries, as when it runs out it is nice to have compatible batteries on hand. If you have the factory provided remote that is supplied by Samsung, which is an evil to use device, this remote does lack some of those custom other buttons, but those aren't things we/I regularly use anyhow. It is nice that something works just as expected! Simple is wonderful! I love this!! After trying several other multi-device remotes, this one finally does the job! Was looking for simplicity, large buttons, and be able to control TV volume regardless of the device selected. The customer needs to thoroughly read instructions. Not complicated, but missing a step or not observing the power button LED can lead to misprogramming.

This is a nifty little universal remote that takes just about any modern TV. My only complaints are that programming it is a little convoluted, and the programming directory with the codes is in tiny print. Also, I think it's a little strange that anytime you want to turn on or control the TV or cable, you have to press the TV or CBL buttons first for either device. That seems a little unnecessary. The remote should be able to handle both, turning on/off both devices simultaneously, and have enough logic to know that the volume should be for the TV and channel for the cable/streaming box. That you have to press the device ahead of any function, is a little strange. Still, it gets the job done, and works with just about any TV and cable box I can think of.

Great remote. Easy to see and use.

The. Worst. Too basic for most smart TVs. Was looking for something easy for my aging mother. Was easy to set up, but without direction buttons it was basically useless. Has to be super easy and it was harder than an intricate remote. Bummer.

Decent little remote but Youtube proves to be a problem. This is the third universal remote I've tried to replace the small, ill designed one that came with my Fire TV. It does most things, but does not work properly with Youtube. You can not leave a video you are watching to get back to the Youtube home page with the back button. The back button sends you to the main tv dashboard. If you navigate back to Youtube hoping to be in the Home page, you are plopped right back into the video you were watching with no way to exit. You also cannot access the tv settings with it.

excellent control for senior citizens. my mom, step dad and neighbor in his 90's would accidentally mess up their programmable remote by pressing the wrong button. with the last programmable remote, the tv button was next to the power button. when the tv button was held, it messed up everything. with this remote, the option to program it is far away from commonly used buttons. it has been over a year and nobody accidentally messed up this remote. also the very large buttons at the top are perfect. all they need is to change channels and volume.

I recently purchased this remote control for the express purpose of replacing an LG remote for the television set and a Spectrum remote for the cable box . Rather than wrestling with these two controls, this little GE was programmed in about a minute and a half and takes over almost all of the simple functions of both of the other controls with ease . My 94-year-old Mom loves the thing. There’s nothing more to say. 👍🏼

Works great with our blue ray

I got this for my elderly father-in-law. He was having trouble with the original remote on his Hisense TV. It has a lot of extraneous buttons for Netflix and YouTube and things that he just doesn't use. He was inadvertently pushing them and then couldn't understand why the TV was doing what he wanted to do. It is simple to get back to the home screen but not for him. This remote is very basic and simple. The buttons are big and easy to press and it doesn't have the extraneous buttons mentioned above. It works very well for him. The problems that he was having with the TV being on the wrong settings just don't occur anymore. He was convinced that the problem was the TV. He wanted to buy a new TV, such was his level of frustration. I was sure a new TV wouldn't have fixed it anyway. This has made an old man very happy.

Compré este control para mi madre que tiene los pulgares bastante gordos, y era muy común que por error le cambiara a Netflix o a Prime en el Magic Remote, lo que la frustraba mucho. Los botones grandes de este control le quedaron perfecto a su pulgar, y le son muy fáciles de leer. El control se siente de muy buena calidad, se configuró sin problema en una LG smart de 32" con la guía incluida. Recomendado también si no ocupas accesar las funciones Smart (que es el caso de mi madre).

Feel I was sort of scammed due to lack of knowledge around technology.

The sleep button on our tv remote stopped working and we love to fall asleep to tv…this did the trick. It was already programmed to our Samsung tv so it was perfect!
