Talk Writing Across Curriculum With DVD Paperback

I know people who have used this book with fantastic results. I haven't started with my 3rd and 4th grade ESL students yet but I find the book had too much introduction.

Wow! Wish this book was available years ago. I have been teaching T4W for years now but this book really helps pull all those loose ends and things I wasn't completely sure about together. A really in-depth explanation is provided on each phase as well as ideas /games on how to teach them. Brilliant!I was worried that this book was just for the teaching of non fiction texts but all the principles can be applied to fiction too!

I bought this book early in the academic year to boost my skills in teaching writing and to increase my childrens' confidence to write. It's early days and I've only attempted the recount style approach, however i can clearly see how much more equipped they will be when it comes to write. They know the style so well thanks to ask the warm up activities and I can't wait to see the results next week!

This was an incredible purchase but alas, the nature of a teacher is such that we always feel the need to reinvent the wheel.This term I used this book more comprehensively and my students were better for it!

This is a brilliant book, a must have, to all teachers that use Talk for Writing in their school. This really informative book helped with planning, etc.

Some really good ideas and easy to understand planning sequences set out in an easy to understand and thorough format.
