Excellent Resource for Entrepreneurs and Business Managers
OK, so I've purchased many business books back in the day. Not sure why this one caught my attention, but it did! I must admit that the book is choc full of goodies. If you are an entrepreneur, and looking for some excellent advice and guidance, this book covers a large spectrum of topics that you will find not only helpful, but practical.Anyway, this book is very well organized by topic. It is written for the entrepreneur of the 21st century because a lot of things have changed in the world of business today. For instance, he talks about social media and everyone is well aware of the fact that this is a huge part of the fabric of our society. It has excellent chapter headings, starts with very basic issues dealing with the emotional aspect of running a business and even includes a section about mental health awareness. It discusses growth and management skills that accelerate growth, scalable systems and processes, planning, funding, etc.I ordered this as a tool to help grow my business and will be using it as a daily resource to consult for various projects. This is one of those books that you may choose not to read from cover to cover. Instead, its an excellent resource that allows you to look up specific things you need to work with at that moment. For instance, there's a chapter on Hiring. So, if I'm dealing with that task, I can go directly there and begin looking at the advice being offered. The book also has a nice glossary of terms, references for each chapter and an extensive index located in the back of the book. This book is very easy to read and understand which is a plus for me.I'd highly recommend this book and can honestly say that it can be an excellent resource for anyone including individuals that are interested in careers in business management.

No Nonsense, reference book
A good, no nonsense book that is more of a reference book than others. It's something you'll want to keep on your desk to consult for this or that.

A comprehensive, easy-to-follow roadmap for anyone who wants to start and grow a successful business
“Running & Growing a Business QuickStart Guide" as a simplified beginner's guide that covers essential topics such as leadership, scalable systems, and profitable growth. The book provides practical advice and real-world examples to help new business owners and entrepreneurs succeed. It's a comprehensive, easy-to-follow roadmap for anyone who wants to start, run, and grow a successful business. Ken Colwell's book on business growth and management is well-written and thought out. While some of the information covered may not be new or groundbreaking, it can serve as a reminder of what to focus on, particularly for new entrepreneurs. The book is a good resource for those in the early stages of exploring the possibility of starting a business, as it covers the basics of managing and hiring, business planning and strategy, and early funding strategies. It's not a substitute for an MBA, but it provides valuable insights into the concepts of starting a business. Some sections felt repetitive, and there were a lot of citations that could have been more helpful if numbered. The spiral-bound format is a positive aspect, making it easy to use as a manual and take notes. Overall, it's a decent read that can be beneficial for new entrepreneurs or those looking for a starting point in the genre.

Incredible For First Starting!
The media could not be loaded. I am a business owner of a tax advising company and I love reading books on how to run a business whether it be service or products. I love reading on how to expand and how to grow not only for my own small business, but to my clients small business as well. There is a dire need as nowadays having a single income is no longer comfortable for our way of life. I love how Ken Colwell explains in number and graphs his points of view. Most books I've read on business Starting is mostly how they 'feel' and how they went from rags to riches without diving deep into what really matters, the HOW. Ken, does go a little emotional but only in part 1 and in part 2 begins to give the numbers, the facts, the HOW which made me excited and did elevate some learning. I do recommend this to BEGINNERS for there are other books that delve even deeper but this is great guide for those who are barley Starting and have no clue where to begin. But like I tell my clients, dreams are businesses just waiting to be born. I definitely recommend due to the educational value, graphs, and easy to read sections that are highlighted for you. Thank you!
