One of the best choices I've made
First some background; As someone who is older male (not "old"!) I've gained some weight. I grew up on a farm and am a meat and potatoes guy. I travel a lot and have gotten into a habit of eating bad food, from fast-food burgers to a bag of chips before bed. However, I don't drink or smoke at all. A friend has done this cleanse for 8 years in a row. I promised my wife I would lose 20 lbs on her birthday and was struggling. His wife texted me a link to SP and I ordered it in fifteen minutes. So I completed the 21 days and have carried through the good habits for 28. I am 16 lbs. lighter and feel great. My body processes are more efficient and I started doing some short runs, the first time in a decade. I followed the program religiously with the only exception being I didn't buy organic. However, I have not had any dairy, meat or chicken in a month. I love the cookbook and have grown to enjoy ratatouille and quinoa. I have extended beyond the cookbook and am now making baked ratatouille, shrimp quinoa, and many more delicious meals. I enjoy the shakes (banana, coconut milk, cinnamon). So I typically have fruit for breakfast. A mid-morning snake of carrots or cucumbers. A lunch of leftovers (ratatouille, quinoa chili, lentil soup, bean soup, cabbage soup etc.). A shake for a mid-afternoon snack. A full dinner. And a shake around 8pm to keep me from munching. I love the coconut milk with a little Truvia sweetener and cinnamon. So a month in I am about four pounds away from my goal. I loved the idea that I could do a 21 day event so I had a light at the end of the tunnel; just make it one more day! The truth is, I was never hungry and don't feel I was denied. I discovered a whole bunch of new and healthy foods I enjoy. I even enjoy the making and discovery. My plan is to hit the goal of losing 20 lbs. Then I will have a "celebration day" per week where I can eat a brisket, steak, ribs or pasta but the rest of the week is fruit and veggies. I will monitor my weight and if am over my ideal weight, cut back. Under and I stick to the plan. I also plan to do this every January. My thinking here is that it will get me through the winter. Then, as the weather warms and I get more activity, to enjoy the cookouts more. Then get through the fall and holidays with moderate weight gain. Then do the 21 day cleanse again in January. Highly recommended!

Easy Weightloss for Athletes
I’m active and young woth no major health issues but was slowly gaining weight - about ten pounds over the course of two years. Not horrible but as an athlete you know your body so well and get frustrated when you can’t control it. I had tried reducing cals, probably reduced too much, and tried low carb and it never worked - always felt tiered. My life coach recommended this cleanse as he used to prescribe it to his patients when he was a pre fixing chiropractor. I was skeptical - it’s a lot of fruits and veggies and shakes - and I’m not the biggest fan of veggies - and I was starting marathon training and concerned about getting enough calories. I did this cleanse and it was awesome! It’s only three weeks ... just 21 days! I lost a total of 8 pounds (that’s a big deal for me) and was able to fit into my favorite jeans again. I wasn’t tiered during my runs and never had bad cravings. I did cheat one night and had some wine, but that’s fruit right? Lol. It is expensive but I don’t think there is any other natural program out there that can yield these results. Once you’re done, it is easy to maintain your results - stick to a clean diet (avoid processed carbs) and stay active and your liver will metabolize everything! Im going to do it again - once a year - to just get right and keep me on track.

THE DIRECTIONS ON THE BOTTLES ARE WRONG!! (Also, it's gritty and gross!)
IMPORTANT NOTE: This comes with the SP Cleanse pills (7 pills 3x per day), 2 bottles of fiber pills (3 pills 3x per day), and 1 bottle of super green pills. On the super green pills, DO NOT FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS ON THE BOTTLE!!! According to the book, you don't start taking them until AFTER you finish the cleanse, and then you take 5 pills 2x per day, not 2 pills 3x per day like it says on the bottle. That's very misleading. I was in a hurry to start because my original order was delivered to the wrong address and Amazon had to reorder it for me, so I was already behind schedule. So, since I already understood the general concept of the program, I just jumped right in and followed the instructions on the bottles. I didn't have time to look through the book until a few days later. But, by then, I had already wasted a few doses of pills doing it wrong unknowingly. So, I stopped taking the Super Greens (until Day 8), and when I run out of them early because of the mishap, I'll substitute a store brand super green powder and add some of that to my "shake." Now for the actual product review... They changed up the formula and now this tastes horrible. It's no longer like a shake at all... It's super gritty and not even slightly sweet. So, I have to mix it into a smoothie for it to even be edible. But, by doing that, I end up filling up on the smoothie and have a hard time managing to eat anything else. So, eating twice as many vegetables as fruit is practically impossible this time around, even though I put a ton of spinach or kale in my smoothie (because I can't stomach mushy vegetables, let alone pureed ones mixed with grit, so I have to have a lot of fruit in there with it to make it palatable). I did this program 2 years ago and it was amazing! The best thing I ever did for myself! The weight just fell off! About 35 pounds in 2.5 months (which got me to my ideal weight and into a smaller size of jeans than I ever thought my curvy hips would fit into because they didn't even when I was a fit teenager - before I had kids)! Turns out I'm allergic to wheat, so that's why I could never lose weight before, despite "doing everything right" (according to the health coach provided by my insurance company). The former version of this program reset my health! But, my family eats a lot of pasta and pizza, and it's been hard for me to avoid it (especially because most of the wheat-free versions I've tried were not very good). So, I started regaining weight last year. About 15 pounds. So, I bought this program again to get me back on track a second time. But I'm not sure how well it will work if I'm stuck filling up on fruit because the fiber water is so gritty and gross. Would I buy this again? No way!!! Not unless they went back to the pea protein formula instead of this brown rice. Seriously, depending on how much water you add, it varies from Metamucil to a very gritty baby rice cereal. Except it has less flavor than baby cereal, which uses whole rice instead of just the bran. UPDATE: Cherries are on the list of acceptable fruits, but are marked as high sugar and top be avoided if the goal is to lose weight, BUT, I found that if I blend this up with dark sweet cherries, I can make a much smaller smoothie and then in able to still eat something beyond the smoothie. My current preference is a handful of cherries, 1 banana, and a huge handful of spinach, plus water to consistency. Since that will make a pretty large smoothie, I double the "shake" mix and split it into 2 meals. Then I can add other fresh steamed or grilled vegetables to get me to the 2-1 ratio. I'm on day 7 and down at least 5 pounds, but most of that is thing to be water weight and clearing out the intestines (don't worry, though. No diarrhea. Just healthy elimination).
