I recently purchased the Surface Pro Charger 65W 15V 4.5A Car Charger and it has been a fantastic addition to my setup. This charger is compatible with a range of Surface devices, including the Surface Pro 8/7/6/5/4/3, Surface Laptop 1/2/3, Surface Go 1/2, and Surface Book 1/2.The first thing I noticed about this charger is its compact and lightweight design. I used this 5 times and worked fine. 6th time it would not power on tried in a different car and still.did not work. Went on Amazon site to return the product but told nothing can be done,electrical.items have a 12 month warranty but not for this on Amazon site. Would not recommend

Tends to overheat sometimes, do keep your eye on it.

The product worked fine, until I plugged it into a 24v lorry port. (Bare in mind all my other devices work in that port without issue). And my surface pro made a click noise and now is a doorstop, it doesn't power on.This charger supposedly has 'Short-Circuit' protection, but I don't believe so because the charger still works, and happily provided too much power to my device.There is no option for me to contact the seller so if you see this, please get in contact.

As we sometimes use our surface while travelling this seemed like a pretty good idea for keeping it topped up on longer journeys or working away from home. This charger seems pretty well made and connects to the car sockets and the Surface Go 3 with no issues, the cable seems decent quality and the charging rate seems quite reasonable considering it's a 12V source with only a little bit of heating up noticeable on the charger. One thing you do need to be aware of however is if you're using this while the vehicle isn't running this will drain a lot of power from your battery fairly quickly so definitely something to keep an eye on to not leave yourself stranded!If you've ever thought you need more power for your Surface while out and about this is definitely something to consider, if you work from a vehicle and use a surface this could be an invaluable time saver not having to hunt down a wall plug.

It may be a great product but mine wouldn't switch on. It seems to me that the one they sent me had already been returned by a previous customer as the instructions were missing from the box.
