Buying a hat or shoes remotely seems like a bad idea, but I scoured tons of offerings to get something for a trip to Mexico. It was every so slightly large on me, I added a small pad under the elastic on the inside back and it fit perfectly. Take the liner out as others mentioned (pulls right out), and you have a killer hat. It holds it's shape very well, it took quite the ride in several planes overhead bins, backs of taxis, tossed around for a week and still looks new. Lots of comments on how nice it looked. Get it!

I have a big head and a lot of one-size-fits-all hats don't fit me. The listing for this hat says "fits up to 23 1/8 inches" and that's exactly right; my head is about that big and this hat is snug but not tight on me. It's very comfortable and feels like good quality. Note: there was a very strong smell of palm leaves when I first opened the package; it almost seemed like the smell would be unpleasant while wearing the hat, however, it quickly faded and was gone with a week or so. If you have a very sensitive nose you might not be able to wear this before letting it air out for a while. For me it was no problem.

I have a small head now that I have shaved all the hair off so this hat was slightly too large for me even with the elastic inner band. My wife showed me how to put some foam rubber weather stripping under the band and now the fit is perfect! It's a good looking, well made hat. I use it for sun protection when gardening or hiking. Perfect.

Well-constructed handmade item. I have worn the hat out and about a few times. It shades my face and neck well. The sun shines bright in the South, so you need a hat. This one is a good choice, if you like the style.

After finally finding a style of hat that suited me (outback/wide brim fedora) I decided that I would need one for warmer weather, and didn't want to drop too much coin on one. This definitely fit the bill! I absolutely love this hat. The fit is perfect and wears comfortably, with versatile style. Like other buyers, I also experienced a strange odor from mine for a few weeks. (But its nothing a couple bbqs and cigars can't help cover up!) I also found it to be a bit too warm, so I just pulled out the liner, as it is only glued in and can be easily removed. Now those ventilation holes can do their job! Another tiny issue is that the hat band was quite crooked, about an inch off center. Not a hard fix, it's just a bit of a visual annoyance to me. Despite the quirks, I really like this hat and will probably buy another when this one wears out.
