Deco 79 Teak Table, Black/Brown

My first thought upon seeing the Deco 79 Teak Coffee Table was that it was gorgeous. I love the wood and and natural textures. Unfortunately, my opinion of the table quickly changed. The black (or in some versions white/silver) between the wood is basically colored caulk. On the underside of the table, you can see the various pieces of wood are glued together in a sawdust/wood glue type mixture. I believe they put some biscuits inbetween the pieces to hold each section of the round top together, but it is not built well at all. We could immediately see that our table was pulling apart at the seams. The caulk is pulling apart, we can see gaps in the seams clear through the table and the glue is already splitting. This is within moments of taking it out of the box, mind you. While I am handy enough with woodworking that I could probably repair this, I am just not willing to do that when the table is already falling apart within minutes of receiving it. I'm very disappointed. If the table was actually built well, it would be a beautiful piece of furniture.
