The bar has been raised.
This thing is outstanding. Coming off the heals of a disappointing experience with a classic food jar I almost switched brands. That one blew the lid off in my kitchen. I make brown rice a beans in this thing just like I did the classic one. This one however outperforms in every way. 1: it stays super hot all day. 2: the lid is all stainless and has a nice silicon base so it doesn't move around. Should mention the lid is also vacuum insulated which is awesome. 3: the handle is solid and doesn't move or make a sound. 4: the shape is better, slightly wider and shorter than the classic 24 oz so it's easier to get your stuff out. 5: dishwasher safe!!!!!!!!! 6:it fits inside my Stanley 7 at adventure cooler! This way I can take fruit and other things along and not carry a million things. 7: tough as nails 8: looks freaking cool 8: silicon grip on the handle is great 9: the lid that failed on the classic is greatly improved. Stainless lined and with higher quality plastic with deeper threads. 10: the gasket on the lid is not a cheap flimsy thing like the classic. So you can guess that I'm satisfied with my purchase. Was it expensive, yes! I was given the eye by my wife for getting it. Those of you who complain about the loss of old school quality, here is your chance to put your money where your mouth is. This food jar raises the bar for this category. Nicely done Stanley!

Excellent Quality
I was inspired by the review above and decided to put my money where my mouth is. I'm getting tired of buying cheap disposable things. With this product you will only cry once. This is the kind of product you can pass down to future generations. I mainly use it to make beans. If you can think ahead, you can buy dried beans and cook them over night. I bring about a half cup of black beans to a boil and dump it in this thermos. I close the lid and the next morning I pour them in a strainer. No more cans, sodium, or chemicals. I don't have to soak overnight and boil for 3 hours. I also bought the Stanley Crock Jar. That also works for cooking large amounts of beans. I'm really impressed with the quality of this thermos. I actually bought the 25 oz Chloe + Zoie first and I should have known better. It was very cheaply made and I threw it away after trying to cook in it. I use this product about 3 times a week.

Stanley Lifetime warranty 24 oz food jar works as it should make sure you read the instructions
satisfied with the purchase and the price has risen by 25% since i purchased mine for $35. after 7 hours my homemade beef vegetable soup was still hot.... i boiled water or sometimes just use hot tap water to start the thermos/food jar and put the lid on while it sits and cook my food and then drain the water and put my food in it... works awesome very heavy duty not cheaply made so far so good...pouring the soup out of the container requires practice as all the broth wants to leave the thermos/food jar first and the meat and veggies stay at the bottom the cup is only so big lol! you sort of have to use a spoon to pull the meat and veggies out first and usually its accompanied by broth.... alot of recipes online for thermos lunches..... instructions say what you can and cant put in them although everyone tries the ones your not suppose to like cream of anything lol!.....love the lifetime warranty thats offered if anything is ever needed its replaced .....i also bought the master series 1.4 quart for tea and coffee when it gets really cold havent tried it yet.

Im totally in love forever !!!
I am a Hospice nurse. I travel all day, and the two most important things to me while Im driving around for 8-10 hours daily, are finding a clean bathroom, (check) and a hot lunch (because I have eaten cold, greasy congealed soup). I have spent hours browsing the www and reading reviews and promises to keep my lunch hot, for hours. Just buy this product and you wont be sorry, they all tout. So, Im gullible, and as a result, I have spent hundreds of dollars, and have a cabinet full of products that don't do what they promised. Then... I met my true love.... STANLEY!! I pondered back and forth, should I spend the elaborate amount of money for this promise of hot lunch, or just continue to eat McDonalds and other fast food crap, that has also forced me to buy bigger scrubs... so not very helpful, or healthy even if it is hot. I broke, and caved to the solemn promise that it will give me hot food for 20 hours. When I received it, despite the fact that it was dented on the lid, and scratched to the metal in the side, I gave it the test. I wanted to be fair, so I boiled water, placed it in the "24 oz Wide mouth food jar", while I heated only a small amount of Chili to beyond boiling. I left a big gap in the Thermos on purpose. Then, after pouring enough boiling chili into the container to fill 1/4 full, I sat it outside in the 17% temperatures overnight for 13 hours. I got up in the morning, knowing I would be sending the junk back to Amazon. But.... to my amazement.. The Chili was still warm!!!! OMG!! Now, to be fair, it wasn't steaming, but I left it outside in 17% temp for 13 hours, not a normal thing I would do. Ok, so... I decided to keep it, and give it a normal test. Again, same container, same hot (very tasty Chili) but in my lunch bag, in my car (1/2 jar full this time) . From 0600 to 1400, 8 hours, in my lunch bag, in my car. Finally, I opened the jar, and the Chili was STEAMING!! I have found my love. So now, I am ordering the 17oz jar, the 1.5 qt thermos for my coffee, and the water bottle. Although.... I will be ordering from Stanley site, because I didn't appreciate the dents. I guess if I pay this much money for something, I expect the packaging to be good enough to protect the product. I will be buying Stanley Christmas gifts for all my nurse friends who travel, and my son. Its gonna a be a great year of hot lunches. I would recommend this product to everybody who expects hot lunches . It truly does what it says it will do.

Really like it & glad it’s not green
I’ve only used this a few times so far but really like it. I work long shifts and might not get to eat for 8 hours or only eat a few bites off & on thru out the day. Either way the foods been hot every time. I’ve gone thru several Thermos brands (2 exploded) and decided to try Stanley. No plastic seals is wonderful. Not because I’m worried about the plastic, they are just pains to get off and on to clean. The weight of this Stanley is good & bad. Bad because it’s heavy to carry. Good because it would make a decent weapon (you have to worry about these things when you work alone) without damaging it.
