Waka Quality Instant Tea, Unsweetened Watermelon Flavored, 200 Servings

I got this tea on sale thinking it was stevia sweetened and would make a refreshing iced green tea. Let me tell you about my first foray with this tea. I added a heaping teaspoon of powder onto a 32 oz glass of hot water and added a few shots of stevia liquid. It was darker than I remember green tea being. My first taste and I wanted to gag. The taste was soooooooo bad that I got an instant headache and I almost dumped it down the drain. I am glad I did not. I added more stevia and tried it again. No change whatsoever, still overpowering. Instead, I got a fresh 32 oz glass of ice water and added about 2 ounces of the tea /stevia tar from the original 32oz glass into the fresh one and mixed it up. Wow, the color was a beautiful light green that I expected to see. The flavor was outstanding. I then dumped the rest of the 32oz glass into a 2 gallon pitcher and ended up with 2 gallons of refreshing sweet tea. The directions call for 1/4 tsp. Personally even that much seems like a lot and was way too much. Today, I mix a slightly full teaspoon powder into 2 gallons of water and add the sweetener and it is great! I love this tea now and smells good in the cabinet once you open the package. I paid $8 on Amazon for the bag. I am not sure that I would pay $15. Buy it on sale and try diluting it if you do not like the taste. You may find that the right balance is based on how much water you use. I will say that as HOT tea with sugar, it seems to be better but I still use less powder than recommended. I purchased the mango flavored green tea.

A quick and convenient way to make green tea. This is not matcha. It comes out an amber color like you usually get when to steep green tea. No tea balls or tea pots to deal with, just a hot water pot and a cup. I bought a special 1/4 teaspoon measuring spoon to get the quick 8 oz. Dosage. Tastes like restaurant tea straight and I also use it for my chazuke at lunch. It is just what I need and it has so much servings. I will definitely be ordering more.

Taste good and very concentrated. I have been using a comparable in taste product for 10 dollars for 10 servings (was organic), which is almost 10 times the price of this per servings. This is 18 dollars for 200 servings. Great savings and taste. First time I tried I put way too much in, ruining the taste. 1/4 teaspoon is all you need for one serving.

This should get zero stars. I was so excited to try this product! I drank about 4 sips and started to feel very weird. I got dizzy and nauseous and my eyes couldn’t focus. I had to go to the bathroom to throw up 3 different times before I started to feel better. I had only had water that morning, so I know it was the green tea. I had 24 more days to return the product. It kept giving me an error saying that it wasn’t eligible to return even though I’m seeing the date right there. I chatted with support and they said they couldn’t provide me with a label. They did say that they would refund me and I could keep the product. How sketchy is that?

I love this tea, but for those people wanting to enjoy it as a cold beverage, please do not dissolve it it cold water. It is better enjoyed after dissolving it in warm water, and then putting it on ice. It will not dissolve well in cold water…but it has a pleasant flavor after dissolving in warm water. I first thought it was yellow turmeric powder, but after having used it in warm water and icing it, it does appear to be green tea. This may be a good thing, as it may prove that it is authentic green tea. Anyway… I hope that the flavor of this tea is pleasant to other people. It was bitter when dissolved in cold water, but good when dissolved in warm water.

This tea has become a comforting part of my daily routine. The flavor is rich, smooth, and well-balanced—never too bitter or overpowering. It hits the spot every time.I especially appreciate the quality of the ingredients. You can really taste the difference compared to cheaper blends. It smells amazing as soon as you open the package, and the flavor holds up even if I let it steep a bit longer than intended.

It would be nice if they included a 1/4 tsp measuring spoon to mix one cup at a time. That's 1 tsp per quart, or 2 tsp per half gallon. What do the metric folks do?Anyway, recommended. No unnatural additives.
