Best of 4 off brands I've tried so far, primarily for Lungo
I've tried Bestpresso, Battistino, and Gourmessco coffee pods ranging from 40 cents to 45 cents a pod and overall for the price / taste prefer this brand. The Battistino plastic pod didn't puncture easily and holes were too small so coffee would take a lot longer to make as coffee barely came out. These pods have aluminum on the bottom / top so puncture easily and coffee comes out quickly like originals. However pods are slightly smaller and although they fit fine in my machine for others they may fall through if not carefully placed. The Bestpresso had 10 to a bag with 2 bags to a box with a few of the pods spilling coffee out where the foil separated from the pod. I ordered the variety pack of the Bestpresso which didn't have a Lungo in it so can't really compare it to this one. I really should order one but afraid I may get stuck with a 120 pods that I don't like. For this brand, no broken pods and coffee always came out at comparable rate to original pods. Please comment below with your favorite Lungo compatible brand regarding pros / cons.Btw - my machine is the Nespresso C122-US-CH-NE Citiz & Milk Espresso Machine which I paid $150 for. Must of got a good sale price as it's listing at $300 on Nespresso's site.

**UPDATE** Redesigned capsules just aren't up to standard
**UPDATE**9/13/2018:I'm lowering the stars due to the lowered quality of these capsules. It's really a shame. For whatever reason, Pressogno has redesigned their capsules with noticeably cheaper materials, resulting in a noticeable decrease in the quality of beverage produced by the capsules. The foil top is thin and pourous - just like every other low quality knock-off brand I've tried - and doesn't adequately seal the coffee pod to ensure a fresh brew.If they were doing this to save money, it was a bad move. I will be requesting a refund.Until things go back to how they were, I won't purchase these again.1/27/2018:Very excited to have these back in stock, and here's why:I have scoured the internet in search of Nespresso-compatible capsules, and none of the off-brands have come close to the Nespresso quality...until I tried this brand.Thick crema, beautiful rich aroma, and quality taste. I have used these capsules to make lattes, macchiatos, Americanos, mochas, and a host of other espresso drinks for my family, my friends, and my coworkers. They all agree - the drinks produced with these capsules are all better than Starbucks quality. Not to mention the affordable price! They've never disappointed in the many orders I put in the past. I can't wait for my next order to arrive!

Morning drama - not worth it.
These "alternative" Nespresso pods are dangerous. After first ordering them, I placed a Pressogno pod into the coffee maker and pressed the long shot button and walked toward the fridge. After about 10 seconds, I hurt a loud pop and then a crash. Pressure had built in the coffee maker and violently popped open the door where you place the pod, propelling the coffee mug onto the floor. Okay, did not see that coming. After cleaning the mess of coffee, grounds, and smashed ceramic, I tried it again. Taking my time, I carefully placed another pod into the Nespresso maker. Again, it crazily popped open, but I was able to save the mug. My husband, the engineer, fiddled with it and said that the pod needed to be placed into the machine with laser precision. Great, so much for an easy morning coffee. After this morning drama, we were fairly successful in making coffee with these pods. There were another few mishaps with the machine popping the door open, although we were prepared. This morning, I opened a new box of Pressogno pods and the damn machine popped open with quite a force, threw the mug toward me, and spewed hot coffee on my stomach. Seriously?!These pods are a %$#@*&^ hazard! We've been taking precautions every morning and it's still not enough. These are not eligible for return - my bad for not checking before ordering. Note to self - Don't do that again. We'd donate them, but don't want someone else to have to start their morning this way.Off to drink more tea!FYI – I recently purchased pods at Trader Joe’s and have had zero issues. Back to winning!

Tasty--unique brewing design.
I love my coffee, but the Nespresso brand capsules are pretty pricey so I keep experimenting with different brands. Thus far Battistino is my favorite, but I decided to give Pressogno a try. Good move!Like all third-party pods, the Pressogno coffee isn't quite as tasty as the original Nespresso, but it's good and on par with the Battistino brand. But Pressogno's biggest selling point isn't just the the taste or reasonable price--its superior design guarantees reliable brewing. All "normal" pods are formed of plastic or aluminum with a foil top. As a result the machine sometimes doesn't fully pierce the pod base and the coffee kinda drools out instead of brewing smoothly. Pressogno uses foil on the top AND BOTTOM of the pod. As a result my Inissia has no problem properly piercing and brewing the capsule every time. I've gone though hundreds of pods and they all brew perfectly with no clogging or dribbling. I love that the Pressogno folks have solved this headache. So, the bottom line is: tasty, easy brewing, affordable. This is solid five-star product.

Quality is turning inconsistent. But very good when they get it right.
This review is actually between 3 and 4 stars. As mentioned by others, Pressogno has moved to a cheaper design of materials. The capsule fit is ok, but not always perfect. I started to leave a 1 star review for this and the watery brew with no crema I was getting!! ...but this turned out to be a bad box. Though that’s most of the capsules of that box of 10. The rest have been fine and up to standard. So, whoever is processing these....quality control, people! I’ve loved this brand for years. No bate and switch, please!
