Best smart watch on the planet
Functionality wise it isn't leaps and bounds above Samsung's offerings or Apple's own Series 8 watches. Battery life is on par now with the Watch 5 Pro. Why do I like it better than everything else then? Durability. I destroyed my Series 7 and my last two Sammy watches. They get beat up on my wrist and aren't that durable. The Ultra is different. It is super durable. I do not have a scratch on the glass or the titanium casing yet after weeks of heavy usage. The plain titanium is far better than the painted for wear. The sapphire used for the glass does not do the micro scratching that the series 7 did so easily. Finally a smart watch that withstand damage.I am not going into the technical aspects or the software as those are fine and to be expected. Battery life is decent. I get a full day with all bells and whistles but not 2 full days. GPS is nice with or without phone. It is a great watch.Pictures are with after market bands and lug adapters. I have all three OEM bands and they all are pretty terrible.Dive band: ugly and all those little holes hold dirt, grime, and dust.Velcro Band: The more and more you use the velcro, the more fluffy the velcro portion gets. It looks unsightly after a few weeks. The Alpine band: Probably my favorite of the 3 but it isn't as precise as I would like. Plus the titanium lug on one end can scratch the titanium casing when you take the band on and off. Need to watch out for that. The plain silicone band pictured is just a better everyday option. I wish Apple would have offered something less design eccentric and more functional overall in terms of bands.******Update:About a month in and I have ran, walked, mountain biked, hiked, swam, smacked the watch against door, cars, poles. I have absolutely no scratches/dents or any wear on the watch itself. The original alpine loop shows some wear, but I think all cloth straps will show wear in a constant active environment. I am impressed at the durability of this watch.I literally do damage to everything I touch and take no damage. Its like god mode for a watch.

A Truly Spectacular Device: Apple Watch Ultra Exceeds Expectations!
I’ve been a devoted Apple fan for years, and the Apple Watch Ultra is arguably their most impressive offering yet. From the moment I unboxed this gem, its sleek design and premium feel instantly stood out.The Ultra’s display is incredibly crisp, bright, and easy to read in all lighting conditions. But where it really shines is in its performance. This device is astoundingly fast, handling multiple applications smoothly, and the battery life has been a pleasant surprise, easily lasting the whole day, even with extensive use. What sets the Apple Watch Ultra apart, though, is its advanced health features. The heart rate and oxygen level sensors are impressively accurate, and the sleep tracking offers insightful data that has genuinely helped improve my sleep patterns.Apple’s integration of the Watch Ultra with the iPhone is seamless, and the array of watch faces and customizations available means you can make the device truly your own. The added durability with improved water and dust resistance is also a big plus.I was initially hesitant about the price point, but after using the Apple Watch Ultra, I can affirm it’s worth every penny. This is more than a watch; it’s a comprehensive health and connectivity tool that fits right on your wrist. If you’re on the fence, take the leap. You won’t be disappointed with the Apple Watch Ultra.

Expensive but great improvement.
I moved from a series 4 to the Ultra. Absolutely love it. You can read the specs on your own, so I’ll give you answers to the questions I didn’t know. The alpine band is pretty cool, sizing, I am 5’10, 205lbs, it is not too big at all, very lite and a large band fits good. A medium would have worked but would have put the metal clip on the resting part of my wrist. As in, if you were typing or something it’d bug you. With the alpine, one thing I noticed immediately, is that it is a fabric band. It takes a very light work out to make it sweat through (you’ll be washing it once a week). My old 44mm Nike silicone band and any other 44mm band will fit on the ultra. Very small little gap but not noticeable. The old nike band solves the sweat issue. Other than the astronomical price, happy with the purchase.

It’s the best Apple Watch.
I’ve had several Apple Watches. This is the first with cellular, which is a feature I love. I also have a series 8 without. I always have one on the charger and one on the wrist. I like having the ability to answer a call when I’m not nears my phone. I use the other series 8 at night and use it as an alarm clock. It is bigger than the series 8(bigger screen but much thicker). I actually like the band that comes with it( I got a new band for the series 8). It’s built like a tank and seems indestructible!

Worth the money!!
I've had multiple generations of the Apple Watch, but I wasn't sure the Ultra would be worth the money. I was wrong! I'm not a small guy, so the larger watch faces are always appealing to me. I can see whole messages on the screen now. The battery lasts a solid 2 days! This was great when I went out of town and forgot my charger overnight. The frame is solid, and I feel like the bezel is more protected than on the regular series.

So far so good
I bought this in an attempt to more closely monitor my health. Also, I chose this particular model because at my advanced age (ahem) I appreciate the fall detection and the personal alarm. I.hope I never have to use them but I feel safer with them. My only complaint is the charging system, which is a little awkward because there is no direct plug into the watch. You have to use the magnetic charging system which has a tiny plug at the end which isn't compatible with many ports. I'm still working out the kinks and will update this review if I get the hang of it.
